Molding Utility Operator
Position Title: Molding Utility Operator
Reports to: Molding Shift Lead
Location: Maryville, TN
This position is responsible for accurate and timely mold color changes. They will be working with Process Techs and Quality to ensure all colors meet standards.
Inspect, and package in-process inventory and/or finished goods.
Request supplies, cartons, etc. as needed to supply all Molding lines.
Perform complete color changes by following all the procedures.
Assist in clean-up, shutdown, and start-up of all lines.
Assist Process Techs with mold cleanings.

Injection Molding Process Technician - Springfield, TN
Due to an increase in business in the Automotive Products Group at our Springfield, Tennessee facility, Johnson Electric will be hiring several injection molding process technicians.
This position will provide technical skills required to meet departmental and company goals for safety, production, quality and costs.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Perform daily duties with accuracy and in a timely manner. Start-up and shut-down of Injection Molding Machines and auxiliary equipment, complete mold changes, quality checks and material movement.
- Inspection of product manufacturing according to control plan and work instructions.
- Daily preventive maintenance on production equipment (mold, injection molding machine, chiller, plastic pallets dryer, temperature control unit, vacuum pump), etc.
- Achieve departmental goals – scrap, PPH, QA, etc..

Job Description: Summary
This position is responsible to drive the molding governance process for El Paso site. It is responsible to plan and coordinate the design, fabrication, validation, and maintenance of molds and related activities for El Paso BD Site in accordance to BDX molding standards. In collaboration with the Molding Center Of Excellence (COE) and BD Interventional Molding Team, this role will drive the implementation of best practices for all molding processes on site and external suppliers. Other duties include but not limited are as follows:
Plan, implement and coordinate new molding development activities (mold design/build and molding processes) as well as changes to existing molding/manufacturing processes. Utilize CAD/CAM, mold flow and CFD techniques, state-of-the art productivity tools along with mold cavity process monitoring instrumentation.
Interface with personnel from R&D, Plant Molding, Quality, Manufacturing, Center of Excellence (COE), and outside mold maker/molding vendors.
Coordinate and communicate assigned projects with the appropriate personnel and departments.
Specify equipment, molds and materials for new molding processes, existing processes, or existing process changes ensuring part designs can be injection molded economically "Design for Mold-ability" & "Scale-ability (DFMS)". Ensures that materials chosen for parts are economical and appropriate while maintaining functionality of product design.
Write capital expenditure requests for equipment and molds, as needed. Prepare and manage the budget for molding projects.
Install new equipment and molds to support new product development, existing molding/manufacturing process changes, replication or scale-up. Responsible for documentation and training.
Coordinate and execute qualification and validation activities for new products, processes, changes and transfers as required in accordance to BDX molding standards.

Our Pineville, North Carolina plant is looking for a hands-on leader with substantial injection molding experience that will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, installation and improvement of injection molding machines, ancillary equipment and support systems at the facility by directing, managing and developing all Maintenance department employees
- Fully involved with local management team. Provides technical input, solutions and recommendations for improving safety and productivity/efficiencies and product quality;
