Custom Shop Body Mill Sander
Fender Musical Instruments Corporation ("FMIC") in Corona, CA is adding to our team! We are seeking one Direct Ship Coordinator in our Custom Shop.
The purpose of this position is to work in a variety of functions within Direct Shipping/Warehousing for Custom Shop manufacturing, which includes packing/shipping product and parts with accompanying support collaterals, unloading and unpacking shipments as applicable, scanning, and shelving raw materials (predominately packing materials) while maintaining good inventory transaction control.
The primary responsibilities include scanning, picking, and shipping finished product with all proper accompanying collaterals, markings, in proper packaging to proper destination. This includes all ERP/SAP transactions.
Also, direct flow/activities of supporting Packing teammates as needed and direct ship finished or replacement products globally, as needed. Help with Dealer/Special Events teams as needed (loading/unloading at appropriate destination with set up).Track associated inventory, while collaboratively working Marketing for appropriate shipping/placement/next steps of new products. Work back with Service Returns to properly ship/distribute replacement product/parts; help with cycle counts as applicable.
In addition, attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on boxes. Will read work orders and follow oral instructions to ascertain materials to be pulled or stocked or shipped. Loads and unloads materials (typically packing materials) onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
Load/unload trucks if needed (with use of equipment and/or manually). Conveys materials from storage to designated loading/stocking area manually, or by the use of warehouse equipment; for example, electric pallet jack, turret truck, and sit-down/stand-up Forklift. This position is predominately packing materials, count and pull parts from stock as needed for shipping. Stock incoming product for shipping.
Deliver parts to department as required for shipping. Shrink wrapping duties, while working with RF scanner and SAP computer system. Perform other essential duties as assigned.

Title: Sander Feeder
Shift: 3rd. 9:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.
Description of Duties:
Lifts flooring stock from feed belt and feeds continuous stream of flooring stock pieces onto conveyor by inserting groove end into the tongue of previously placed piece on conveyor. Identifies pieces of flooring with obvious defects such as splits, knots, crooks, bows, breaks and manufactured defects.
Removes defective pieces from production and places them into defect cart. Removes jammed or improperly fed pieces utilizing hammer, screwdriver, crowbar, or air hammer. May assist machine operator in setting up machine and in cleaning work area, machines, and equipment. Collects and conveys scrap wood and dust from machine areas to disposal location.
Employee is required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Proveer soporte al departamento de producción de moldeo para asegurar la calidad del producto en el tiempo que se necesita y asegurar el equipo y herramienta necesarios para soportar los volúmenes de moldeo.

Manufacturing / Maintenance Plastic Molding
Silgan Closures, New Castle Plant, is a major producer of plastic closures for the water, juice and dairy industry. Silgan is searching for an experienced energetic maintenance employee to join their team. Silgan offers 40 hours per week, full benefits after 60 days, 2 weeks vacation from date of hire and a culture that thrives on team work, quality and safety.
Install new equipment and molds, perform preventative maintenance, and provide needed service to machines and molds so to remain operational and provide product that meets both customer and company standard.
Responsible for all machine preventative maintenance and repair to ensure operational efficiency. This includes the hydraulics systems, basic electric systems and PLC trouble shooting and programming.
Responsibility also includes recognizing, reacting and adjusting machinery independently when needed to maintain proper machine efficiencies Recognize and react to process problems in a timely matter so to minimize non-conformances. Monitor materials to insure correct amounts are available throughout the shift. Responsible for minimization of scrap produced and machine downtime in color changes.
Ensure maximum use of regrind. Perform preventative/routine maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electric equipment and molds to ensure that products produced are of the highest quality. Disassemble, clean and reassemble equipment and molds according to instructions.
Monitor cleanliness of floor; inspect machinery and surrounding fixtures regularly for oil leaks, grease, or residue. Responsible for care and cleanliness of presses. Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns to the Plant Quality Manager.
Identify mixed materials, products, or colors and react quickly to correct the problem. Verify that bins, boxes, and skids have been correctly identified.
Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with vendors and other Plastic Closures personnel. Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
Represent Silgan Closures in a professional manner, with a high degree of respect for existing and potential customers. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Minimum of two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in manufacturing environment.

We are assisting our client in Cincinnati with their need for Field Service Technicians in the Plastics Industry (injection and blow molding maintenance experience is required). Responsible for machine line installations, machine line start-ups and/or corrective start-ups to meet customer requirements. Perform general service work, such as, rebuild, repair, process and/or training.
Work with and assist customers in the installation of equipment in their facility.
Assure finish product meets customer’s specifications.
Troubleshoot machine issues remotely or at customer facility.
Assemble or rebuild machinery using assembly drawings and schematics.

Job IntroductionMagna Mirrors, Newaygo Division has an immediate opening for an experienced Plastic Injection Molding/Process Technician to work on 2nd or 3rd shift in our Newaygo Molding department.
Major Responsibilities1. Changes molds, dies, or fixtures in accordance with local procedures which may include minor tool repair and/or insert changes. Documents changes and adjusts processes and/or involves appropriate resources to make adjustments outside of parameters.\r
2.Performs start-up and shut-down of molding machines and ensures that all sub systems (i.e., water, dryers, heaters, robots, computers, etc.) are operational. \r
3.Assists and/or performs maintenance on equipment in respective areas of responsibility including; molding machines, robots, hydraulic pumps, gauges, heaters, and other auxiliary equipment. Performs housekeeping duties and maintains facilities including cleaning, organizing, disposal of grease/fluids, etc. \r
4.Ensures that raw materials supporting the molding function are made available in accordance with procedures which may involve operating a hi-lo. May perform various material handling duties as requested including; delivering materials to the line and removing/installing molds.\r
5.Follows procedures pertaining to safety and/or hazardous waste handling, which includes prescribed lock out procedures when working on equipment to prevent injury. \r
6.Performs quality inspection of parts after changeovers to ensure quality standards/guidelines are met. Visually checks parts against process control sheets. Communicates with appropriate personnel regarding performance of machines/equipment in assigned area and to verify changeovers and/or schedule changes. \r
7.Programs, verifies and adjusts machine processes within prescribed parameters.\r
8.Makes recommendation for process changes. Applies principles of statistical process control (SPC) for product and process control. Works with Mfg. Engineering to problem solve and set future process engineering specifications based on statistical analysis.\r
9.Works with Group Leaders to establish total preventative maintenance events and ensures maintenance program is functioning at optimum level.\r
10. Performs all duties listed above with emphasis on complex troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analyzing. Works with Engineering and Skilled Trades personnel on product launches. Establishes process parameters for manufacturing engineering and determines appropriateness of variances to process parameters.\r
11. Performs other duties as necessary. Properly handles and disposes of any hazardous waste material in respective areas. Provides work direction to other staff and may train other staff.\r
Knowledge and Education1. High School diploma or equivalent with the ability to learn quickly. Basic math/reading skills including using decimals, fractions, geometry, etc. \r
2.Two to Three years related work experience including mold/tool repair; or equivalent. \r
Work Experience1. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude (i.e. to perform set-up of equipment, etc.) with ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.\r
2.Knowledge of materials used in processes with a Hi-lo license or ability to obtain a hi-lo license to move materials, equipment, etc. High degree of manual dexterity with the ability to lift 40 pounds or more to change molds and tools, move materials, machines, etc.\r
3.Good communication and interaction skills to interact with internal contacts with the ability to work without direct supervision.\r
4.Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment.\r
5.Basic knowledge of computers, equipment, tools, and paperwork associated with job including thorough understanding of standard work, in-process control sheets, and customer driven quality requirements.\r
6.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, update, and work on all equipment in designated area of responsibility and work outside parameters. Working knowledge of electricity, injection molding, and ability to apply it to job. Machine rebuilding and mechanical knowledge including hydraulics required.\r
7.Demonstrated good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to communicate with internal and external contacts and work in a team environment. Must be able to lead, train, and support other staff.\r
8.Strong project management skills to work on projects independently under minimal work direction.\r
9.Advanced statistical process control skills with the ability to gather, analyze and draw conclusions from long- and short-range statistical information (i.e. CCP/CPK indices).\r
Senior Mold Design Engineer - Injection Molding
Our Senior Mold Design Engineer - Injection Molding will be based in Buffalo Grove, IL. As a Senior Mold Design Engineer, you will coordinate the creation of custom, precision plastic molds based on specifications from our clients while ensuring that all designs are completed to FMT's high standard of excellence. These designs may include unscrewing, collapsing core, slide, lifter, stack, multi shot, and other mold functions.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:
Analyze customer part drawings and models; create DFM reports to suggest part change, tool function, and technology recommendations to enhance moldability; create risk mitigation plans.
Review fill, pack, warp, and cooling analytics to make informed, data driven design decisions.
Review all customer design inputs such as cycle time, mold finishes, press / barrel selection, automation requirements, electrical standards, etc...
Lead DFM and design reviews with clients and with the manufacturing team taking input for machinability.
Responsible for producing complete mold designs including concept design, preliminary design, preparation for design reviews, 3d mold assemblies, detailed prints, BOM creation.
Responsible for review of all prints, models, and assemblies to assure accuracy before release to the lead mold makers.
Identify the critical function dimensions in steel for verification purposes based on customer input and in-process dimensions for mold fit & function with input from Mold Maker.
Analyze tolerance stack up to ensure design mechanically functions within the flash limit of the resin.
Provide conceptual designs and/or ideas for quoting purposes as required. Product design and development.
Work with the manufacturing team to develop palletization of inserts for automation as well as wire bricks for programming.
Coach and train lower level Design Engineers and Interns.
Here is some of what you'll need (required):
8 + years of experience in Plastic Injection Mold Design (must have)
Proficient with 3D CAD software and SolidWorks however Creo and Unigraphics will be considered
Strong presentation skills along with presentation creation in PowerPoint
