Injection Molding Manufacturing Supervisor
Tiercon is a growing manufacturing company primarily focused on the automotive industry. Headquartered in Stoney Creek (Canada), the plants have moulding, painting and assembly capability, employing approximately 650 people throughout the five facilities.
Tiercon is seeking a knowledgeable, self-directed, hard working, and multi-skilled manufacturing INJECTION MOLDING MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR for the plant located in Sterling Heights Michigan.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, injection mold machine maintenance, molding processes, and personnel of the production line to ensure that all customer schedules are met within the established quality, safety and production targets. In addition, the Production Supervisor will resolve any concerns or problems of production personnel and ensure all employees adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the TS 16949 Quality System.
Details of Principal Duties, Activities and Responsibilities

Molding Supervisor - 3Rd Shift
Supervises employees engaged in producing injection molded components used in company products. Plans and schedules production. Coordinates the changes, set-ups, and maintenance of injection molding machines and peripheral equipment. Trains employees.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the training of employees in molding machine operations, assembly, cleaning, packing, and safety procedures.
Plans and organizes operations to meet the master schedule.
Coordinates with Inventory and Warehousing personnel to provide for the availability of parts and material required in production.
Coordinates the change and/or setup of damaged molds to meet revised production requirements.

Trains, oversees and coordinates the work of the molding operators, line specialists, process technicians, material handlers and mold setters to ensure that projects are meeting all specifications in addition to being detailed, accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Associates degree or technical degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment; injection plastic molding environment preferred.

Senior Manager Molding - 3D Printing
The Manager for Molding and 3D Printing is a Leadership position to support the different implantable manufacturing sites by ensuring that all molded parts used in commercial environment are robust, harmonized and scalable utilizing best technologies, are capable and compliant with Regulatory requirements, and are validated per design control. A key element of this role will also include the development of a body of knowledge for Molding and 3D Printing, a network, and best practices for testing, deploying, and fine-tuning new applications. The Manager will formalize process improvements to help the end-to-end quality and performance engineering using LEAN/Six Sigma, Design for Manufacturing and Design for Cost methodologies.
The Manager will ensure cooperation with R&D and Operations, will also be responsible for keeping the Implantable Network informed and the manufacturing of plastic products aligned with business objectives to maintain a leading position in the structural heart market across surgical and trans-catheter valve business, including aortic and mitral. This position will report to the Senior Director of New Product Introduction. This position will direct and manage Engineers on the Irvine site.
Essential job functions:
Lead staff in using project management, design for manufacturability, process/design excellence, value engineering, ergonomics and knowledge transfer methodologies to ensure effective implementation and use of plastic components throughout the Implantable Network.
Manage staff of Engineers and experienced professionals in support of effectively achieving the required objectives of Global Technical Operations. Develop a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of the department.
Lead cross-functionally (Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations) and across all implantable manufacturing sites to formulate strategies including capacity, logistics, supplier sourcing and development, equipment and processes with a throughput to meet business goals.
