MEASURES OF SUCCESS

Molding Technical Supervisor
Stoneridge is looking for a working leader of a team in support of all manufacturing processes, specifically in our Molding Department. The Molding Supervisor will support and train Team Members in all essential functions and skill sets as required to effectively operate and continually improve their processes. Responsible for the work flow of the Molding area of operation. Leads the team in safe and effective execution of production plans using a structured lean work and management system. This includes leading effective response to abnormal conditions; participate/lead in problem-solving activities to obtain sustainable standards, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in their area.

Supervises employees engaged in producing injection molded components used in company products. Plans and schedules production. Coordinates the changes, set-ups, and maintenance of injection molding machines and peripheral equipment. Trains employees.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the training of employees in molding machine operations, assembly, cleaning, packing, and safety procedures.
Plans and organizes operations to meet the master schedule.
Coordinates with Inventory and Warehousing personnel to provide for the availability of parts and material required in production.
Coordinates the change and/or setup of damaged molds to meet revised production requirements.
Coordinates the set-up and maintenance of peripheral equipment such as hot-stamps, glue guns, and drilling templates.
Ensures quality of molded products and finished product by planning and coordinating the training of all molding personnel on company quality standards.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Reviews and closes all CAR's (Corrective Action Report) generated on shift in a timely manner.

Report to supervisor any setups that cannot be run in accordance with prescribed methods.
Have machine in operation and producing acceptable parts, checked by inspection, before releasing for production operation.

New BD state of the art injection molding facility starting up in Columbus, NE to manufacture medical devices. BD has a number of injection molding sites located worldwide. This site will be the Center of Excellence of injection molding for one of the largest injection molding companies in the world.
