Meet or exceed budgetary expectations on all associated line items
Cost control on labor, F&B, Liquor

Maintain positive staff relations (in all areas outlined in Manager evaluation form) Manages, coordinates and aids in execution/facilitation of all on-site training programs, seminars, operational rollouts and further learning & development needs (as per General Manager, AGM, HR Manager and Director of Learning & Development).
Supervises all venue trainers, including all operations floor trainers and MIT trainers. Duties would include (but not limited to)
Interviewing and selection of training
Conducts audits of trainers and trainees on weekly/monthly basis or as outlined by AGM and/or Human Resources Manager.
Conducts on-site Alcohol Awareness Certification classes as outlined by state, county and federal guidelines for that region.
Weekly/daily periodic review and check of new Team Member Training certification Guides and MIT Certification Manuals.
Conducts all TC Wrap-up Meetings, 30 Day Blues Reviews and communicates follow-up information to appropriate levels of management.
Conducts Quarterly training seminars with in-house non-exempt trainers for development and motivation.
Attends at all training seminars, conferences and conference telephone calls as outlined by Director of Learning & Development.
Attends venue level operations meetings on weekly or regular basis as outlined by Director of Venue Operations and General Manager
Completes schedules for hourly staff on weekly basis
Maintain all Standards Set by House of Blues

The Yale Institute of Sacred Music, an interdisciplinary graduate center, educates leaders who foster, explore, and study engagement with the sacred through music, worship, and the arts in Christian communities, diverse religious traditions, and public life.
Reporting to the Director of the Institute of Sacred Music (ISM) and business operations Senior Director, the Lead Administrator is a strategic administrative partner to the ISM leadership, the chief financial steward and leader of administrative support services for the department. Identify, mobilize, and ensure that the department's faculty, students, fellows, and staff receive high quality administrative support in compliance with University policies and procedures.
Direct, plan, and manage the comprehensive administrative support for all aspects of the Institute's programs, including finance and budgeting, program operations, information systems, human resources, training and development for 17 non-faculty staff, facilities management, and student financial-aid. Manage annual operating budget of approximately $12 million; business operations and controls, grants and sponsored agreements, and administrative support for full and part-time faculty, research fellows, and post-doctoral associates. Participate in interdepartmental and community relations.
The ISM occupies 13,000 square feet of newly renovated space on 0.8 acres of land in Miller Hall, and 6,000 square feet in Sterling Divinity Quadrangle. The ISM is also responsible for sixteen pipe organs on campus, ten pianos and four harpsichords.
In addition to core academic programs and support of campus chapels, the Institute sponsors one major international tour per year, and approximately 150 musical performances and other events. The Institute manages nine vocal ensembles and five publications.

Part Time Music Host/Producer Job Summary
Vocalo Radio 91.1 FM, is Chicago’s Urban Alternative, a format that features an eclectic mix of Hip-Hop, R&B, House music and more. We believe that music is a gateway that allows us to amplify Chicago culture via profiles and discussions with artists, activists, and change makers. Our radio station works at the intersection of music, storytelling and engagement to affect positive change in people’s lives.
We are seeking a PT music host/producer who can present a mix of midday live on-air shifts and “pre-recorded” (tracked) shifts to engage audiences around our format. Shifts and schedules may vary based on the station needs and could include some live event appearances too. Our Music Host/Producer will work closely with a team of hosts and producers to expand and deepen our engagement with diverse audiences and to help position Vocalo as Chicago’s premiere destination for music and culture.
In addition to our core format, we’re home to an outstanding DJ collective that features top local DJ’s spinning sets five nights a week (5 O’clock mix and the Live at Five); a daily morning program that features music and conversation hosted by Jill Hopkins and Jesse Menendez (Morning AMp); Reclaimed Soul, a weekly program that features deep cuts and rare gems from the golden era of soul, curated by Ayana Contreras; Latin Alternative music programming on Sundays with Jesus Echeverria and Rocio Santos , and a vibrant mix of music and Chicago stories throughout. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves the artists and music at the heart of our urban alternative format and possess a passion for growing and connecting young diverse audiences, particularly among Chicago’s Black and Latinx communities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Voice tracks and hosts some live shifts to announce artists/titles, top-of-the-hour news briefs and/or community calendar events
Plays music as specified by the station music log
Manages the digital efforts of each shift, including social media engagement around promoting ticket giveaways, community calendar events, or now playing messaging
Operates in-studio board for live remote broadcasts
Receives, screens and records listener phone calls for on-air playback during shifts, when applicable
Fills-in for prime time on-air personality vacation time off
Conducts occasional interviews with artists or other guests as needed
Light production or voice over work, when necessary
Serves as a compelling ambassador across platforms, reflecting the values and mission of Vocalo across all platforms
Hosts or emcee’s occasional live events

Required Skills and Experience
Strong on-air background (live and voice-tracking) with high energy
Passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Vocalo Radio’s format and Chicago culture
Socially informed and perceptive; specialized knowledge of the range of music in our playlist
Appropriately re-enforces the radio station identity and program at all times. This includes:
Working knowledge of radio automation software, preferably ENCO DAD/Presenter
Experience running a studio console
Experience editing audio
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations.
