description This position is responsible for the safety, production, and quality in the production of nonwoven products. Responsible for learning and demonstrating a working knowledge of all aspects of operating the nonwoven production line. Able to perform job functions with limited assistance.

May require the use of 10x microscopes, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges. May be required to perform SAP data entries. Perform changeovers and line clearances. Help maintain inventory of spare parts and prepare for upcoming work on the lines. Must be willing to troubleshoot machines and help identify methods to increase efficiency of the lines. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE o BS or BA Degree in Business, Science, or Engineering required; Master’s Degree preferred. o Minimum 9 years of direct application of lean/continuous improvement experience in functional areas supporting Field Service, Technical Support, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Research and Development, Supply Chain, Procurement/Sourcing, Engineering, and/or any combination thereof. o Mastery of a variety of Lean tools. o Experience implementing new technology in manufacturing & supply chain environments (i.e. MES, PLM, eKanban, RFID, etc.) with demonstrated ROI. o Professional writing and administrative skills, including computer skills.
CRITICAL SKILLS o Practical experience implementing business processes & systems that drive improved performance in Quality, OTD, Profitability, and Working Capital across a Global Supply Chain. o Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a “general manager’s” point of view. o Ability to design, develop, and implement a DBS sustainability roadmap for a function. o Mastery of DBS Fundamentals and a variety of DBS/Lean tools. o Excellent communications skills. Good writing and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, etc.). Must be self-sufficient administratively. o Excellent training skills; strong facilitation skills, leading by influence, and mentoring. o Familiarity with various manufacturing process technologies (e.g., Assembly, Machining, etc.). o Ideally familiar with driving change in regulated environments (e.g., FDA). o Hands-on experience implementing DBS (or TPS) in a line Leader role. o Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training environments. o Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management. o Experience with modern manufacturing technologies and advanced manufacturing platforms, systems, and tools (i.e. RFID, IoT, MES, PLM, eKanban, etc.).
