Responsible for management, implementation and evaluation of the daily operations of Firestone's portfolio management function and risk assessment programs. Responsible for the systematic assessment of financial exposures, appropriate risk rating of the portfolio and achievement of strategic goals. Leads process improvement initiatives and practices aligned with the organization's overall portfolio management philosophy.
Portfolio Management and Collections (60%) – Staff of 4
Directs the operations of the Portfolio Management function to ensure the adherence to policies, procedures, and practices to facilitate the effectiveness and efficiency the department and consistently maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Drives departmental alignment with the Company's Portfolio Management vision and provides direction to staff to consistently maintain relationship-based, solution-oriented culture. Ensures that all facets of the Portfolio Management function from early containment through workouts and special assets are effectively resolved to mitigate risk. .
Ensures effective communications are maintained within the department and with other departments of the Bank to resolve delinquent customer issues.
Monitors budgets for the Portfolio Management department. Manages departmental activities and costs aimed at minimizing cost while maximizing value.
Manages commercial loan workout and legal strategies to keep delinquency and losses within goals set by the division head. Recommends policies and procedures to ensure effective departmental operations.
Responsible for reporting include performance and projections of criticized loans, non-accruals, charge-offs, and recoveries. Manages risk rating, non-accrual and charge off forecasting.
Recommends and follows up on accounts for legal action, repossession or foreclosure. Supervises sale of repossessed collateral to ensure the company gets fair value for all collateral.
Develops payment plans and modifies terms when necessary to limit loss to the company for larger delinquent loans. Provides guidance and assistance for collection of more seriously delinquent loans to achieve effective resolution. Provides assistance to analysts and loan officers regarding credit matters.
Lien Perfection and Title (20%) – Staff of 1
- Manages all aspects of Firestone's Lien Perfection & Title function including UCC filings, vehicle titling, subordination requests, partial releases, continuances and all other amendments including management of collateral evaluation process.
Leadership and Staffing (20%)
Leads and manages team of four for Collections, vehicle titling and Lien Perfection. Directs staff to achieve department goals and objectives; provides guidance to staff to maintain smooth operation of the collections and lien perfection functions. Specific responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Responsible for all communication and coordination with Berkshire Bank Loan Workout and Special Assets departments.
Member of key Firestone Financial Committees including Project Steering Committee and Risk Management.
Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules regulations and prescribed polices/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.

Minimum of 5 years leading collections or loan workout activities in non-agency setting, preferably in commercial lending or leasing environment.

The Disability Services Operations Supervisor exists to direct and manage staff, services and outcomes related to the Disability Services Division (DSD) operational policy. Use of your own personal vehicle may at times be required and proof of Liability Insurance will be required.
Instructor's Certificates in Water Safety, First Aid, and CPR or obtain within six (6) months of probation period, if assigned to aquatics program.
