Plant Hatch SNC Plant Hatch has opportunities for a Nuclear Plant Instructor in the Maintenance and Technical Training organization. This opportunity lies within the Engineering training program.
SUMMARY The Nuclear Plant Instructor in the Maintenance and Technical Training organization is responsible for presenting and administering the Engineering training program. The Nuclear Plant Instructor will design, conduct and evaluate classroom and laboratory instruction; develop training and examination materials; and process and maintain training records for the Engineering training program. These activities are instrumental in maintaining the plant's INPO accreditation.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing lesson materials to be used in the training programs
Conducting training sessions
Determining training program effectiveness
Maintaining plant training records
Reviewing and maintaining training materials
Conducting assessments, research, and evaluations as requested by the Technical Instructor Lead
Assisting in the development and implementation of the overall training plan
Supporting the line organization as requested during temporary outage assignments
Managing the Engineering training program to include class scheduling and timekeeping
Assisting in Corrective Action Program (CAP) activities
Working as a team member to support Engineering training project workload with minimal supervision
Engineering Bachelor’s Degree required from an ABET accredited university.
Completion of an accredited-based technical training program, or equivalent as evidenced by a certificate, diploma, transcript, apprentice program syllabus, and/or INPO accredited training program (records as available) is preferred. The plant technical specialist will participate in the direction of work for the plant engineer I and II, plant technical specialists, drafting technicians, contractors and craft personnel. The plant technical specialist will also provide assistance to plant engineer I and II, senior engineers, managers and principal engineers on higher level projects. The senior plant technical specialist provides technical work and directs others in technical work in the planning, designing, procurement and construction of additions, changes or maintenance to MidAmerican Energy Company's Combustion Turbine facilities (CT). Perform complex, large-scale DCS projects to improve plant performance and reliability.
Participate in the direction of work and provide assistance to the personnel listed below. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function) Perform tuning of complex DCS systems to improve efficiency and other plant performance parameters and positively affect availability and/or reliability beyond the level of that expected from the plant technical specialist position. Provide advanced technical support for control system administrative functions including patches, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Provide technical services for the planning, design and construction of project additions or maintenance to MidAmerican Energy Company's CT systems.

Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field with emphasis in a power plant appropriate science discipline. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.) The associate plant technical specialist level requires one to three years of related experience in industry or related field. The plant technical specialist level requires five to seven years of experience in direct power plant or related utility industry experience with hands-on practical experience needed to fully understand the plant processes and ability to make modifications as needed to reduce equipment downtime and minimize costs.
The senior plant technical specialist position requires eight or more years of experience in direct power plant or utility industry experience and an expert in plant processes and ability to make modifications as needed to reduce equipment downtime and minimize costs. High level of technical knowledge, judgment and capability in the engineering discipline with the ability to take large scale DCS projects from beginning to end, with minimal assistance from the engineering department. Superior communicator with technical and managerial personnel within and external to MidAmerican Energy Company.

Technical Training Specialist- Power Plant Operations
Energy Services has an immediate opening for a Power Plant SME/Training Specialist to provide consulting services, develop training programs and associated materials, and deliver training to our power industry clients. This is an exciting position with the opportunity to make an impact on training successes within the power industry. We are seeking subject matter expertise in one or more of the following power plant related areas:
Operations (simple cycle, combined cycle, coal-fired, and renewable technologies, hydro)
Thermal performance and equipment condition monitoring
Environmental, health, and safety
Human performance, and conduct of operations
Simulation Typical projects and tasks would include:
Working with clients to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs
Design and develop training program materials and other supporting documentation
Perform Operational, Organizational, Enterprise Learning, and Training Needs Assessments to determine the best training solutions for power industry clients
Conducting Instructor-Led training sessions on both fundamentals and plant specific systems and operations content
Provide coaching and mentoring support for client workforce

: Plant Reliability and Engineering Manager NATURE OF WORK: The Manger is responsible for establishing and maintaining a proactive maintenance and tooling organization with systems, tasks and documentation to ensure the goals of the business model, productive capacity and equipment availability are met. Position Description The primary role of the Financial Center Financial Solutions Advisor (FSA) is to deepen banking and investment relationships with Mass Affluent customers. Located in Financial Centers with a concentration of Mass Affluent customers, the FSA will act as the primary point of contact for Mass Affluent customers, although will not have a “book of business.” Walk-in customers will be directed to the FSA who will provide end to end comprehensive advice and customized solutions to help customers achieve their financial goals. Customer reviews/presentations will include a review of investment goals and prepare presentations that recommend products such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, banking, and managed money solutions. The FSA will transact point of fulfillment investment and banking business for clients with less than $250k in investable assets. In addition, the FSA will engage in daily relationship calling to pre-selected Bank of America or Merrill Edge customers inviting them into the Financial Center for a customer review. The FSA should have experience in investment, banking and lending products to bridge banking and brokerage solutions.
