Responsible for planning, organizing and supervising all the general nursing care and treatment services of a small hospital. Duties include planning and scheduling the work of the nursing personnel; evaluating the work of subordinate staff; deciding priorities and emergent nature of patients' care needs; and other activities concerned with the nature and quality of the nursing service.
Position is also responsible for planning and developing, in support of the overall medical program, new projects utilizing nurses and other para-medical personnel which includes the formulation of policies and procedures, as well as organization and staffing patterns and other related duties as assigned.
The immediate vacancy supervises staff who conducts and supports onsite inspections of healthcare facilities, agencies and organizations throughout the State to determine compliance with State licensing requirements.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
License: A valid State of Hawaii Registered Nurse license is required.
Experience: Three and one-half (3-1/2) years of professional nursing experience.
Administrative Aptitude: Applicants for Registered Nurse VI must have demonstrated administrative aptitude.
Administrative aptitude may be demonstrated in experience which shows strong affirmative evidence of the necessary administrative abilities. Such evidence may be in the form of success in regular or special assignments or projects which involved administrative problems; e.g., in planning organizing, promoting, evaluating, controlling and directing programs; providing staff advice and assistance; interest in management demonstrated by awareness of managerial problems and the ability to solve them; completion of educational or training courses in the areas of management accompanied by the application of the principles which were learned to work assignments; management's observation and favorable evaluation of the applicant's leadership and managerial capabilities, success in trial assignments to managerial and/or administrative tasks.

Cleans and drives funeral vehicles in funeral processions
Performs a variety of tasks during funerals and visitations to assist funeral directors and ensures that services run smoothly as planned
Places caskets in parlors or chapels prior to wakes or funerals
Cleans funeral parlors and chapels
Assists licensed embalmers or apprentices with removals and transfers of the deceased to the designated location
Ensures all SCI policies and procedures are carried out for each removal and transfer
Requirements & Qualifications
High school education or equivalent or relevant work experience would be a definite asset
Funeral industry experience would also be a plus
Must hold valid current license to perform duties, operate crematory, drive a car or hearse
Previous customer service and/or sales experience would be a definite asset
Knowledge of computers and some software would be an asset, or willingness to learn

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Graduation from a recognized school of nursing and a current Michigan RN licensure. Registered nurses hired by Munson Home Health or transferred from Munson Medical Center to Munson Home Health prior to January 1, 2009 are encouraged to obtain a BSN.
