Obtain appropriate engineering drawing(s) for assigned job.
Obtain and verify kitted (pre-picked) detail parts, standards, and assemblies were issued correctly by comparing part numbers and quantities to drawing(s). Ensure that parts issued are effective for the airplane and are free of visible defects. Initiate planning or engineering change requests for pre-planned jobs. Set up assembly tools per instructions or drawings.
Make sure all locators are correct for particular model configuration. Locate parts on assembly tools, mating parts and/or assemblies per drawing or instructions. Align parts to tool stops, matching pilot holes or by hand layout (as required) and secure in place using Clecos or tooling/hand clamps.
Check for good edge margins and alignment. Shim parts as required. Select drill bits, reamers and/or countersinking tools for pilot and full size holes per drawings or instructions.
Drill pilot holes using drill motor and proper size drill bit(s). Drill, ream, countersink full size holes in parts/assemblies, in proper sequence and to correct size using drill motor (e.g. Winslow, 90-Degree Power Vane, or Quackenbush). Set countersinking tools to proper depth. Disassemble parts and deburr holes using chip chasers, deburring tools, and files to prepare for installation of fasteners.
Use solvents to clean surfaces prior to sealing or assembly. Apply sealant, alodine, primer, adhesives, special finishes using the appropriate personal protective equipment. Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in approved manner.
Determine and obtain correct type and size fasteners from Roto-Bin (e.g. hi-locks, rivets, bolts, nuts). Install fasteners per drawing using correct tools (e.g. rivet gun and bucking bar, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner). Check work after completion of each operation in job and/or completed job to ensure assembly is complete per drawing, that there are no defects (e.g. gapped heads, high rivets, tool marks, incorrect length fasteners), and that area around job is clean, prior to putting up for inspection. Sell completed job or in-process checks to inspector at appropriate steps in sequence. Perform minor rework as required (e.g. pick-ups). Consult with management and/or others (e.g. engineering, planning, inspection) on process or job related issues.

Job Description Sets up and operates NC Lathe machine. Operates Flattening Press machine.
May operate tow motor. Keeps area clean. May perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements Receives work orders and material travelers from Machining Area Lead Person or Production Supervisor. Retrieves fabricated rings from Grinder holding area.
Assures that NC Lathe machine is set up correctly to machine fabricated rings, in accordance with work order specifications. Places and secures rings in jaws of NC Lathe machine. Fork lift must be used to pick up jaws from storage shelf and transport to the chuck of the machine.
Once jaw is resting on the chuck, it must secure from falling by fastening at least one bolt to the T nut before the forks of the forklift are removed from underneath the jaw. Actuates NC Lathe to machine first side of all rings for each work order. Completes
Machine 1st Side- portion of Material Traveler. Actuates NC Lathe to machine 2nd side of all rings for each work order. Completes
Machine 2nd Side- portion of Material Traveler. Visually inspects completed rings to assure they have been manufactured in accordance with established specifications.
If ring is warped, places ring on Flattening Press bed. Actuates Flattening Press to flatten warped area on ring. Places ring on flat-faced table and visually inspects to assure ring is no longer warped.
Cleans and color codes all rings for work orders. Places completed rings in holding area near machine to await Stamping process. Maintains a clean workstation.

· Perform maintenance on yard pickup trucks and any other assets as requested.
· Make emergency parts pickup runs as needed.
· Pre-stage equipment to be brought in for repairs as directed by service management.
· Daily shop trash pickup with forklift/dumpster and properly dispose of old parts/materials staged outside of the shop building as needed.
· Keep nut & bolt bin area and shop supply cabinets neat & organized.

· Maintain and clean the waste oil disposal area and sweep walkway from Bay 1 to the parts warehouse, under the stairs & locker room hallway, weekly or as needed.

· Clean shop doors, windows, and ceiling fans as needed, when time allows.

The job consists of performing duties required to plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, fit, braze tubing, thread, weld complex piping, system components and weld coded, and noncoded pressure vessel assemblies and subassemblies, working with ferrous, nonferrous metals, using conventional or automatic submerged arc welding and difficult positions of mig, tig, and manual arc welding of Navy equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 1.
Operations include working from isometric, pictorial drawings, process sheets, welding symbols, specifications, codes, flow diagram, models, MM&G instructions. 2. Work on floor, guarded platform, ladders or at welding table. 3. Perform floor erection, or fixture assembly of pressure vessels and subassemblies. 4.
Weld in all hand positions. 5. Finish weld to Navy Code, welding standards. 6. Lay out from center line or make own lay out as required to locate all internal, external part details, angular, radial, longitudinal relationships. 7.
Lay out, burn out, nut and bolt assembly, fit adjust, tack stud weld, and weld part details, internal and external components, such as heads, lugs, brackets, baffles, piping, valves, fittings, oil coolers, water boxes, covers, make all connections. 8. Clean, chip dress, rework welds, air arc, gouge out, repair, reweld. 9. Pressure test, repair leaks. 10.
