With limited direction or supervision, this machine set-up/operator position requires the set-up and/or operation of header equipment. The incumbent will possess and demonstrate the skills necessary to maintain production requirements and quality standards.

Essential Duties and
Perform all job requirements assigned by Supervisor of Lineman.
Ability to accurately read blueprints.
Efficiently start and stop machines.
Efficiently load machines and clean coolant tanks.
Perform maintenance to machines daily (oil)
Effectively gauge parts for conformance.
Perform SPC functions.
Purchase necessary hand tools (calipers, Allen wrenches, channel lock pliers, screw drivers, crescent wrench, etc).
Remove and replace hollow mills and tapping heads.
Remove and replace sheaves and pillow block bearings on saw units.
Good communication skills.
Good basic math skills.
Good time management skills.
Understand and comply with company safety standards and federal regulations.
Must be a team player across departments.
Consistently maintain a clean work area.
Understand the functionality of the machining equipment.
Understand how to maintain and repair machining equipment.
Must be able to lift 10 – 20 lbs. frequently.
Must be able to lift 20 – 40 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to easily grasp products and other materials.
Climate-controlled, noisy environment.
Authorized access areas.
