Accurately captures, stages and stores items run on high speed transports. Process a variety of documents, paying close attention to accuracy and speed.
Capture data or images from source documents. Check quality of captured images and make corrections. Stage documents for further processing (i.e. storage, return, etc. based upon customer agreements). Has general knowledge and ability to operate basic computer equipment and mail opening equipment, scanners and high speed transports. Perform other related duties as required.

Airgas USA, LLC Southwest is currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated person to fulfill a Production Operator / Sorter position at our plant in Grand Prairie, TX.
The associate will load gas cylinders onto the trucks and use safe loading procedure.
Sorts cylinders according to cylinder size and service, scrapes and paints cylinders, maintains organization in the cylinder yard.
Inspects and prepares high and low pressure cylinders for the filling process, performs required maintenance on out of service cylinders.
Work collaboratively and safely to complete the daily production schedule.
Assist with inventory, general housekeeping and plant operations.
Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported to management.
Performs all job assignments in a safe manner according to Airgas SOPs.
Sorts and evaluates incoming cylinders according to service and location according to Airgas Specialty Gases procedures.
Assists the shipping department with shipments by common carrier.
Performs daily forklift inspections and reports any deviations in service condition to the area supervisor.
Assists with scraping and painting cylinders as needed.
Maintains the cylinder yard in a clean and orderly manner.
Stores cylinders in designated locations by cylinder size and valve type.
Inspects cylinders for defects using the Airgas pre-fill inspection per Airgas SOPs.
Installs new cylinder valves in both low and high pressure cylinders according to Airgas SOPs.
Operates vacuum pumps, drying ovens, acid-gas scrubbers, and high pressure gas manifolds to prepare cylinders for service.
Evaluates out of service cylinders for required maintenance. Performs maintenance procedures as needed by Airgas SOPs.
Processes liquid residual cylinders for flare or remediation by Airgas SOPs.
Performs valve and cylinder inventories as requested by the area supervisor.
Maintains all areas of the cylinder prep department in a neat and orderly manner, securing tools and valves when not in use.
Maintains prepared cylinder inventory, allocates cylinders to customer orders, and prepares cylinders for final shipment as assigned.
Assists with cylinder inventory as needed.
The associate will have the ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, hearing, speaking and read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
The candidate must be able to drive a forklift.
The associate must be able to work overtime as needed.
The candidate must be able to work in adverse weather conditions including wind, rain, snow and variations in temperature from very cold to very hot.
The associate must regularly lift up to 60 pounds and move more than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
The candidate must be able to read and write.
