The incumbent will be accountable for maintaining the highest level of service of approximately 3000 miles of Sewer system of various pipe sizes and types. Incumbent will develop processes and best practices for optimized Inspection, Cleaning and Repair planning in order to minimize the occurrence of Sanitary Sewer Overflows and blockages. Incumbent will ensure field crew performance, and provide resources necessary for problem resolution. Incumbent will take leadership in the planning and implementation of collection system capital improvements. Oversee the production of accurate and timely regulatory and contractual reporting.
Maintain established systems including Cloud based GIS and modern Work Order Management, mobile tools, innovative inspection techniques, GPS positioning system, Network of Sewer level sensors etc. …. Incumbent will catapult the Department to the next level of Maintenance and Capital Expenditure Optimization. Subordinates: Manages a team of approximately 35 professional and field staff, including 5 supervisors.
Financial: Participates in development of budgets and responsible for Achieving Budget for Assigned Area of responsibility
Human resources Management
Supervises, recruits, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, initially managing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals
Responsible for minimizing Sanitary system overflows and Blockages
Supervises day-to-day operation of the collection system department
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and performance of wastewater collection system including systematic cleaning and televising
Responsible for directing system maintenance and repair activities, in support to experienced field supervisors.
Reports serious or potentially hazardous malfunctions or conditions to Director of Operation
Select, interface with vendors and contractors
Assists company Finance Manager with annual budget preparation, and forecast
Participates in the "Emergency On Call" rotation.
EHS, reporting and Contract Compliance
Oversees and assists in maintenance of Work Order Management and GIS System and in preparation of reports
Follows regulatory and contractual requirements to ensure compliance

This position is based in an office within a wastewater treatment plant complex. Work is performed both inside and outside with exposure to all kinds of weather conditions. Incumbent may be occasionally exposed to some noise, silica, dust, fumes, smoke, gases, greases, oils, electrical energy, solvents, and vibrations. Incumbent may work on slippery/uneven surfaces, around machinery with moving parts, moving objects/vehicles, and ladder/scaffolding, below ground and may be exposed to water and other liquid materials.

Associate Sewer - Heart Valve Therapy
Applies skill and dexterity in the sewing of non-tissue components used to produce medical devices, in keeping with regulatory and company guidelines.
Use tools – needles, scissors, forceps, specialized tooling, microscope or magnified light – to perform assigned steps, in rotation, in the sewing assembly of annuloplasty rings
Perform verifications, against specifications, of completed steps, and successive checks on steps completed by work team colleagues
Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records

In a safe manner, sets up and operates sewing machine to produce completed fabric pieces for downstream internal customer. Verify conformance of parts utilizing quality tools and checks. Take action to meet or exceed customer quality, cost and delivery expectations and achieve operational goals.
Share knowledge by assisting in training members in the proper inspection methods and techniques. Exercise independent judgment in accepting or rejecting all fabric according to quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and follow schedules, production logs or tickets in order to determine needed fabric pieces, while following standard work processes and adhering to all quality standards and safety rules.
Receive and count material. Verify correct order, type and color. Verify thread color. Verify material quality.
Set up, adjust and operate sewing machine to successfully piece materials together.
Maintain a work pace that supports production goals.
Perform quality checks according to standard work.
Perform TPM procedures as required on sewing machines, maintain clean work station and follow 6S guidelines.
Perform rework of fabric pieces as necessary to maintain quality standards and customer requirements.
Follow standard work for Technical Sewer; suggest and document improvements to standard work.

Seasonal Sewer Technician
Job Summary: This position is responsible for manual work of a routine nature that involves heavy physical labor as a member of a sewer crew.
Sewer Technician: This is an entry-level class in the Water Distribution and Sewer Department. This class is distinguished by the performance of the more routine tasks and duties assigned to positions within the department. As experience is acquired, incumbents perform with less immediate supervision and continue to learn the full duties and responsibilities.
Performs a full range of general maintenance duties including to clean and maintain properties that are part of the sewer system; maintain vegetation and overall cleanliness of sewer mains and fire hydrants.
Repairs asphalt and concrete after repairs to water distribution system; repairs concrete sidewalk panels; assists patch crew in laying new asphalt in the streets; makes temporary street patches as necessary.
Operates a variety of vehicles, equipment and tools including service trucks, dump trucks, sewer trucks, backhoe, concrete and asphalt cutting saws, jackhammer, soil compacting tamper and hand and power tools; loads and unloads vehicles and equipment.
Maintains records of basic operations, maintenance and work performed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Field Pipe Rehab Worker
This position consists of physical labor duties associated with repairing existing water and sewer lines using trenchless technology methods.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include:
Assist with site layout prior to production.
Adhere to all safety practices and procedures.
Load and unload resin saturated liners onto the job site.
Apply water or air pressure to new liner for proper installation.
Feed liner throughout existing pipe.
Inspect and troubleshoot obstructed pipe within a confined space.
Communicate with crew members on status of liner.
Complete proper clean up after new liner is installed.
Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a valid driver's license and capability to obtain a Class A commercial driver's license. Candidates with cured in place liner or CCTV experience are preferred, but not required. Candidates must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The primary function of this position is to set up, maintain and run all perfect binders, casemakers, jacket machines, or McCain or Smyth Sewers/Side Sewers in our high volume book bindery at the highest level attainable. Produce and maintain best attainable quality, possess and display leadership skills, assist in training personnel. Assist in evaluating production capabilities, assist shift supervisor as required.
Prior experience as an operator running multimillion dollar equipment in a high volume book bindery required. Preference given to those who've run a book sewer, but we will consider high volume perfect binder, trimmer, gather, case in, jacket machine or other high volume binders.
Working knowledge of the set up/ makeready, adjustment, procedures, capabilities and limitations of equipment to perform the full range of standard and specialized sewing, perfect binding, gather, case-in, jacket, folding, collating, and cutting of printed materials to complete a finished product.
Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds and colors so as to be able to identify paper conditions (i.e. excessive moisture or curling that frequently requires additional machine adjustment).
Must be able to work the shifts for these positions will be 7am -7pm or 7pm –7am and will include days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Shifts rotate every 4 months with a 75 cent shift differential for night shift. Fixed night shift may be available. Overtime may be offered.
Familiarity with basic mathematics (i.e. decimals, metric units) to understand dimensional requirements contained in job orders and to make more complicated adjustments.
Ability to use the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the bindery machines.
Skill in making adjustments to powered machines using hand tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, knives) as well as more specialized hand tools, usually furnished by the machine manufacturer.
Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing machines.
Ability to read and interpret written work which indicates the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided
