Follow the Standard Operating Procedures to safely load and deliver tubulars from our site in Big Spring, TX to drilling locations around the area
Comply with customer safety requirements while on their locations
Utilize any on-board computer terminals to accurately record locations visited and products handled and ensure any additional paperwork is complete, neat and legible
Wear the provided and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas at all times
Conduct a comprehensive pre and post shift vehicle and equipment inspections, and take appropriate action on encountered problems
Reports incidents (operational and/or safety related), as instructed, in a timely manner
Contain and report any spill according to the established Occurrence Reporting procedures
Take an active role in our safety program including attendance to all safety meetings and ensure safe behaviors of self and subordinates
Maintain an accurate Hours of Service log or time sheet and submit the record in a timely manner
Assists with the maintenance and upkeep of the vehicles and equipment as able and qualified, and report all other maintenance issues to the maintenance department
Other duties as assigned by regional or operation management
A commitment to work without an occurrence; no injuries, property damage or spills
Class A CDL with some experience preferred
Able to clear all background checks required by the Company, Customer and Government
Can successfully pass Savage's road test, which will include a proper pre and post trip inspection of the vehicle
Must show a basic knowledge of DOT regulations as determined in interview and be willing and able to work within the hours of service regulations
A good attitude. Shows interest as a team player, and is observed to be safe and conscientious in the workplace, but can also work independently and with minimal supervision

MUST BE CLEAN, COURTEOUS, AND DEPENDABLE
Pipe inspectors, in the pipe mill, visually inspect the outside and inside surfaces of each pipe, inspects pipe ends (bevels and lands), makes all appropriate dimensional measures of the pipe (diameter, wall thickness, ovality, straightness, etc.). This is all done after the mill’s inspectors declare a pipe as “prime”, Intertek inspectors then re-inspect to ensure the pipe meets specifications (too often it does not). Maintains an inspection log recording all dimensional and acceptability information, interfaces with mill inspectors. Coating inspectors, in the coating plant, monitors all coating parameters such as quality of incoming bare pipe, anchor patterns after grit blasting, furnace temperatures, powder purity, powder and grit storage parameters, and monitors all holiday testing, monitors calibration of holiday tester.
Keeps records of activities. Loadout inspectors oversee railcar and truck loading to ensure loads meet specifications, pipe shipping damage is minimized, monitors pipe numbers that are loaded are accepted “prime”, monitors mill’s load tallys.

Inspectors thoroughly examine drill pipe body, connections, and end areas checking for discontinuities and wall loss. Inspections ensure the pipe meets or exceeds API requirements while following standard operating procedures and safety protocols.

- Conduct inspections to ensure quality or to detect defects

Must be able to maintain a minimum of 95% acceptability in NDE test of welds, be the first inspector of all welds performed.
Ability to work day shift, from 6am
- 6pm (12) hour shifts, Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays, up to 8 hours as needed.
Knowledge of welding symbols and blueprint reading skills.
Ability to work with complicated welding tools like ox-fuel, plasma, mag-drills, chainsaws, torches, etc.

Strict adherence to corporate, federal, state and local safety regulations prior to setting up or operating any machinery. In sure that all OII Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) are worn and that all damaged PPE is discarded. Read and understand OII PPE Policy.
Read and interpret blueprints to plan setup and operation of the machine shop equipment prior to commencing the operation. Layout material prior to performing machining operations to prevent possible errors. Machine parts to close tolerances ensuring finish requirements of the drawings are achieved.
Maintain good housekeeping practices; turning off machines when not in use, disposing of waste properly, sweeping the area, etc.
Return tools/equipment to proper location and report any lost, missing, stolen or damaged items to the Facilities Supervisor in accordance with Process Instruction (PI-069).
Assist the Facilities Supervisor, as directed by your Supervisor, for conducting preventive and corrective maintenance.
Qualify as a Welder in accordance with OII Process Instructions (PI-022).
