We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Plant Operating Engineer.
Under the supervision of the energy building plant manager, this position will monitor and operate combined heat and power plant (boilers, gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators, diesel generators, transformers, switchgear and electrical distribution equipment, auxiliary equipment, connected equipment controls, etc.).
This position ensures plant operations are performed safely and efficiently; monitors and responds to changes in operating conditions and system load demands to maintain continuous plant performance and prescribed plant output; perform preventive maintenance duties and routines. As required, receive plant fuel and material deliveries. Maintain qualifications, perform stack emissions observations, document and write/generate reports satisfactory to the authorities having jurisdiction, and maintain/operate emissions equipment.
