- Performs power of analysis studies on all protocols to estimate sample size for proposals and protocols.
- Collects and records data, to include extensive use of computers and physiological monitoring instruments, as well as creating and implementing new databases for new protocols.
- Performs data entry, database maintenance and manipulation.
- Calculates results of assays and evaluates validity of data collected.
- Performs statistical computations of data such as: mean, standard deviation, standard errors, analysis of variance and statistical significance.
- Prepares graphical representations of data and analyses, photography, graphics, and image production, for study presentations and publications.
- Participates in interpretation of results and assists in preparation of manuscripts and other reports and presentations.
- Maintains research records and experimental data in compliance with regulatory committee policies.
- OD, MD or PhD, Master level with multiple publications as first author and principle investigator will also be considered qualified.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in animal and human models in the field of physiology.
- Experience in the utilization of statistical software, JMP and SSPS
- Demonstrated (peer reviewed publications) knowledge of physiopathology involved with ocular trauma in vivo and in vitro models.
- Ability to publish and write scientific reports with minimal editing.
