This job requires drilling and bolting, setting of glass, cutting of Brass, Bronze, Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Steel. Stick, Tig and Mig welding experience is a nice plus.

May be expected to travel where the project requires (multi-state opportunities) Primary function of an Iron Worker: Raise, place, and unite girders, columns, and other structural-steel members to form completed structures or structure frameworks. Typical Duties Include, but are not limited to:
Set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members.
Fasten steel members to hoisting equipment, using wire rope, slings, shackles, or lifting devices.
Signal worker operating hoisting equipment to lift and place steel member.
Pull, push, or pry steel member into approximate position while member is supported by hoisting device.
Force members into final position using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools.
Align holes in member with corresponding holes in previously placed member by drift pins, bull pins, or handle wrench through holes.
Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of members, using plumb bob and level.
Bolt aligned members to keep them in position until they can be permanently bolted or welded in place.
Cut and weld steel members to make alterations, using oxyacetylene torch for cutting and carbon electrodes welding. Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
Must have 4 years verifiable experience as an iron worker in industrial construction.
Able to visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
Evaluate information based on measurable standards and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings. Iron Worker / Structural Worker, Journeyman
Raise, place, and unite iron or steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks. May erect metal storage tanks and assemble prefabricated metal buildings.
Pay is $23 to $24 per hour working 5-6/10's until the first of the year. Must have all tools in hand, pass a 7 year background check and willing to work in a Phosphate Mill. At least 5-10 years experience.

Requirements As a Journeyman Ironworker you would be responsible for the following: Primary responsibilities
Build and install iron or steel girders, columns, and other construction materials to form buildings, bridges, and other structures.
Cut, position, and bolt down steel bars to reinforce concrete.
Repair older infrastructure.
Make, weld, and cut structural metal in fabricating shops.
Erect steel frames.
Direct operation of cranes to move structural steel, reinforcing bars, and other materials onto and around the construction site.
Connect steel columns, beams, and girders.
Drill holes into steel for bolts.
Number steel according to assembly instructions.
Unload and stack steel.
Attach cables to steel and then to the crane.
Hoist steel into place in the framework.
Position steel with connecting bars and spud wrenches.
Work with driftpins to align the holes in the steel with the framework holes.
Use plumb bobs, levels, and laser equipment to check alignment.
Bolt or weld piece into place.
Set reinforcing bars into forms to hold concrete.
Fasten bars together with wire.
Place spacers under rebar to lift bars off deck.
Cut bars with metal shears and torches.
Reinforce concrete with welded wire fabric.
Substitute cables for rebar.
Tighten cables with jacking equipment.
Install stairs, handrails, or curtain walls.
Make sure all pieces are fitted properly and complete repairs as necessary.
