This position will require an individual who takes pride and ownership in his/her work, and is willing to accept total responsibility for the performance of the oven operation on his/her shift. This individual’s key role is to manage the oven and depanning equipment on their shifts to meet our product quality specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sets oven controls to specified temperature and bake times. Adjust controls as necessary to maintain the proper product specifications.
Manages the oven profile temperatures during production gaps to eliminate overbaked product from the oven.
Monitors the product for the desired proof size and shape. Notifies the plant supervisor via radio when the product is out of specification.
Maintains log sheets as necessary that are required for Quality Assurance.
Reports equipment problems to Supervisor and maintenance personnel.
Cleans work area and tools. Performs other duties in production as necessary.
Assists in training of new employees or employees who change job classifications.
Maintain a high level of sanitation and GMP’s.

The ChallengeThis position is a part of the Water Heater Electronics team. The role will be responsible for looking at new electronic control boards for the next generation of electronics for our Water Heater Products Line. The controls will be used in highly efficient and reliable water heaters with superior performance for GE Appliances. The position will closely interact with other engineers along with manufacturing and commercial teams to understand all consumer queues in an effort to design and produce new and innovative products that lead the market as well as integrate into a strategic multi-generation product plan. The use of skilled engineering analysis and judgment with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations in every way is paramount to the position success.
What you will Do
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and schedules
Demonstrate feasibility of concepts via prototyping of control systems
Complete detailed design reviews on the electronic controls, including both hardware and software
Coordinate Software architecture and design
Develop and maintain comprehensive requirements specifications hardware and software for the controls
Synchronize control design efforts with other sub-system design leaders to ensure successful project execution
Coordinate control fabrication and qualification with the selected contract manufacturer
Manage co-development efforts with global engineering resources

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Following established documents and using materials provided, processes resistors thru cure ovens in preparation for the next operation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Loads and unloads cure ovens.
Sorts orders as they come out of cure ovens in preparation for next operation.
Signs off production tickets with required information and enters information in prod-info system.
Maintains clean and orderly appearance of oven and staging areas.
Monitors and records oven temperatures.
Perform other duties as assigned by area supervisor.

Skills / Certifications
Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations.

Heat Treat Oven Operator
Harrison Steel has an opening on first shift in its finishing operations for a Heat Treat Furnace Operator. Using large furnaces to heat up steel castings to between 600-1800 degrees Fahrenheit allows us to achieve the correct properties our customers require. This position operates a fork truck and overhead hoist to load and unload large steel castings into our furnaces. Normal duties involve:
Safely loading and unloading castings on a trolley hoist
Quenching castings into a water tank by hooking, dipping, and unhooking castings
Recording heat treatment activities on a computer
Assisting in routine furnace maintenance
