This job is responsible for assigning personnel to associated job functions and directing shop orders through the packaging department.Â This position is also responsible for insuring that all personnel within the department follow established Safety Policies, GMPs, and SOPs at all times.
Ensure that each employee is operating equipment safely and are proactive with their own safety
Ensure that department staff follow GMPs and SOPs
Receive and direct shop orders through department as scheduled
Assign department personnel to specific tasks
Coordinate timetables with shift supervisor and production personnel
Record daily activity in shift lead log book
Perform routine spot checks on work in process
Teach, coach, and give corrective action to department staff
Inspect and validate completed jobs for accuracy
Record packing supplies used on production masters
Reconcile production masters upon completion of packaging process
Equipment use: Powder filling equipment, various packaging line equipment, pallet jacks, lift equipment, labeling equipment, & inspection tables
A strong communicator and collaborator and work effectively with all members of the organization, from individual contributors to top execs

Ensures quality and product conformance. Sets up assembly for production. Performs various tasks which may include but is not limited to: generating and affixing labels, cleaning/dusting products, boxing and packaging, sterilizing product, using heat sealing machines and materials, lifting and fitting.
Verifies and maintains quantities, lot numbers, serial numbers and cycle counts. Completes order transaction billing for daily posting of sales. Completes documentation and records as needed.
Performs daily reporting as needed.
Performs maintenance responsibilities as needed and keeps surrounding area clean, safe and organized. Develops and recommends new methods to improve processes.
Follows and complies with Company policies, standards and practices. May be assigned to specialized packaging such as working in a clean room environment.

Description and Responsibilities
Monday- Friday; 3:15pm-11:45pm; The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for the assigned production area, working both independently and as a team player, leads by influence, coach other employees, train new employees, has the ablility to lift up to 50lbs, work overtime, multitask, offer ideas for continuous improvement of processes, adhere to production schedule, adhere to all safety and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.

Packager - Bottling I
Under limited supervision, performs machine operation and production duties following established procedures in the following areas:
Feeds product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and prepared filled bottles for packing and shipping. Replenishes packaging supplies such as bottles, lids, boxes, shrink wrap or labels. Set up machine with correct lids, bottles, labels and product.
Preparing filled bottles for packing and shipping. Replenishes packaging supplies such as boxes, shrink-wrap or labels. Set up machine with correct lids, bottles, labels and product.
Operates machinery with ability to make minor adjustments or repairs. May start, stop or regulate speed of conveyor.
Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process. Inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.
Records information, such as batch code, time, and date packaged. Responsible for correct count, accurate label placement, batch codes and lids for each bottle. Must work from technical data to ensure quality production runs.
May operate lift truck or use hand truck to move or convey product from production area to receiving platforms.
May also keep records on number of items or cartons shipped from the warehouse.
Must contribute to department team incentive goals. Team incentive goals and rewards are based on productivity, in both quantity and quality of work and the accuracy to which the job and/or process is completed. Each team member is dependent upon the contribution level of his/her co-worker.
As part of the production team each employee is required to cross train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the bottling department.

Is responsible for weighing, filling, labeling and sealing of various chemical materials and operating chemical packaging equipment. Responsibilities can include: monitoring the fill equipment during operation, loading/unloading product, assuring product is properly sealed, labeled and quarantined as required, daily cleaning, maintaining fill area and equipment.
The successful candidate will have basic mechanical aptitude and able to operate, changeover, clean and perform minor repairs of chemical packaging equipment. Effective verbal and written communication skills including detail orientation and accuracy in documentation is required.
Knowledge of safety standards is desirable. Candidate must be comfortable working in an environment with hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Previous experience in a chemical environment in preferred.
A high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 40 lbs with or without accommodations and the ability to work alternately in a seated or standing position is required. Must be experienced in driving forklift equipment. Will be required to use a respirator if job task requires.
