Responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling, packaging and processing orders for shipment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Knows and adheres to Company Quality Control System.
Knowledgeable of the part identification system, specialty codes and part revisions
Complies with all quality assurance procedures and policies to ensure best quality product output.
Completes and maintains a variety of measurements, reports, records and documentation.
Strives to improve departmental efficiencies and reduce cost through continuous improvement.
Adheres to established inventory control systems and computer tracking.
Maintains a clean and safe warehouse and working environment.
Fosters goodwill with all internal customers.
Stocks workstations with all material required in the packaging process.

Individuals in this position are expected to have a thorough knowledge of plant layout, warehouse mapping, equipment applications, material requirements and good inventory control practices. Persons shall demonstrate competency when using scales, compactors, shrink wrap and strapping machines, computers (both PC and RF) and other hand tools. Individuals should exhibit strong communication and organizational skills along with a comprehensive understanding of customer satisfaction. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Requirements of this position include the ability to lift 50 pounds, maneuver 100 pounds (with the use of a hand truck) and move up to 300 pounds (with the use of a pallet jack). The individual must also be able to stand for long periods of time.

Following SOPs and other applicable documentation, prepares packing materials and packs medical devices in preparation for shipping. Accurately completes required GMP paperwork.

The Temporary Packer is responsible for three main areas - packing, sanitizing and general labor. As a packer responsibilities include constructing and packing boxes of product.
As a sanitor responsibilities include sanitation of equipment and facilities. As a general labor responsibilities include monitoring box makers and palletizing robots. Weekend and Holiday work is required. Work is performed near heavy machinery in a loud warehouse environment with productivity closely and constantly monitored.
Responsibilities include: constructing and packing boxes either manually or with the help of automated machines, conducting quality checks, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and repetitively moving the arms and torso while continually standing for many hours.

Efficiently package individual cookies into the proper tray.
Manually create the proper boxes for case packing.
Efficiently hand pack cases according to established case packing configurations.
Recognize product quality issues and notify your Team Leader ASAP of any abnormalities. Sort out and discard substandard product.
Maintain established standards while insuring product uniformity when base cake feeding or packing.

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Packs product while inspecting quality of product and package according to product specifications. Applicants will be considered for any Packer type opening in any department that may include, but not limited to slicing, molding, packaging, sanitation, and supply chain.

Candidates must be willing and able to lift, push, carry in many areas on the production floor (weight depends on the area ranging up to 45 pounds.) Candidates must be willing and able to work in slippery, cold and or damp environments with temperatures ranging from 40 to 55 degrees, but may be much warmer in the mold washing area depending on the temperature outside. Candidates must wear steel toe boots at all times while on the production floor. Candidates must be available to work overtime and weekends.

The Packer sorts, segregates, and palletizes slit rolls to customer specifications using material manipulator, conveyor system, stretch wrap machine and electric and manual pallet jacks.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Education sufficient to read, write and follow work instructions (in English) preferable to a High School Diploma or equivalency.

General Housekeeping & 5S
o Maintains all housekeeping standards to ensure care and maintenance of the equipment.

Sort and segregate slit rolls by order number or as may be specified.
Check the items against the customer packing specification form.
Operate the Material Manipulator to stack and move slit rolls from the conveyor belt to segregated pallets as per customer specification.
Affix product labels to the inner and outer slit roll as may be required.
Arrange rolls to ensure that printed deposit stickers face outward.
Moves the completed pallet to the Stretch Wrapping Station.
Stretch wrap pallet.
Print/Adhere Label/Scan pallet as required into the Shop Floor Data System.
Stage or disposition pallets to the warehouse area as necessary.
Participate in, and/or Lead, WCOM Continuous Improvement Teams as required.

Obtain and/or make up containers, clean, label, fill, seal, palletize, and stretch-wrap according to established procedures. Complete all necessary paperwork. Shovel snow from building entrances, roofs, from around railroad switches and firehouses.
Clean plant areas as instructed by supervision. Assist Crew Leaders, Lead Operators, Operators, Contract Formulators, Site Support Services and Material Handlers in the startup and shutdown of production operations, and report any problems and downtime to supervisor. Packers work inside and outside the plant Production, Stores and Warehouse buildings.
Other work locations include railcars and trailer trucks and their respective loading and unloading stations. Packers will sometimes be required to climb ladders and stairs, and perform work in and on elevated areas such as roofs and dust collectors. Some areas will be noisy and may include various inclement temperatures and weather conditions.
Stooping, bending and heavy lifting are involved in all areas. Duties performed in operating areas will required working with toxic and hazardous chemicals around moving machinery.
Safety and Health: Packers are required to work safely, follow all safety rules and procedures, attend monthly safety meetings, report unsafe conditions to supervisors at once, and keep all tools and equipment in safe working condition.
They will also be encouraged to read and ask questions about safety materials such as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Job Safety Information (JSI), and know where to find them. Additionally, Packers will need to maintain clean and orderly work areas and offer suggestions and seek answers concerning safety issues.
