Powder Paint Line Operator
Purpose:Places hooks on conveyor, loads unpainted parts on hooks for painting, off-loads painted parts from hooks, reworks defective parts, and bends production parts.
Must meet the following requirements:

This position’s essential functions vary due to rotating assignments and include but are not limited to:
Maintains the Parts Identification Board for part identification.
Selects and hangs hooks with the proper spacing for each part.
Sets gaps for color changes and ensures there are no unnecessary gaps in the line.
Starts and stops the line accordingly.
Makes sure all hooks are stored in their proper place.
Inspects and replaces heavily painted hooks, and places on racks for burn off.
Properly utilizes the Parts Identification Board to maintain accurate part identification.
Hangs quality parts on the paint line.
Hangs parts in proper orientation.
Ensures every hook has the required part.
Takes the parts off the conveyor.
Places parts in basket in such a way as to assure quality of paint is maintained.
Accurately maintains accurate part identification using the Parts Identification Board.
Counts, places and labels parts in proper containers.
Bends parts and properly stacks parts for production.
Communicates need for parts with material handler.
Meets or exceed established production rate.
Uses sander, buffer, power washer, abrasive pad, etc., to rework rejected parts.
Helps powder paint line area as needed to meet production goals.
Performs required PMs as scheduled.
Cuts cardboard to line containers (i.e. red wire baskets), when applicable.
Reworks parts that have been rejected.
Sweeps and cleans up the powder paint line area.

Follow procedures for maintaining machine fluids and procedures for proper management of waste products.
Assist and provide necessary training to current and new associates. Ability to train on multiple pieces of equipment and processes.

· Properly cover all predetermined non painted surfaces using rubber plugs, bolts, and magnets. Referred to as masking
· Inspect parts for quality defects from Fabrications dept.
· Inspect and prep parts to ensure there is no water or other foreign particulates on the metal before parts enter paint booth
· Remove masking materials and inspect area behind masking for quality defects from paint booth.

Paint Line Operator All Shifts
Under the direction of the Paint Line Shift Supervisor, the Paint Line Operator loads equipment for the processing of raw materials.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded as required by management.
1. Prepare raw materials for productions runs and verify materials match with the customer order requirements and production schedule.
2. Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process.
3. Visually inspect coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.) in raw materials and finished products
4. Work as a team to complete production set ups to ensure an efficient changeover from job to job.
5. Package coils to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.). This may include driving a forklift or helping the forklift driver.
6. Ensure that finished goods are properly and safely stacked both on the forklift and in the warehouse.
7. Keeping a work area that is clean and safe through the removal of production scrap and packaging scrap by disposing of the waste in a timely fashion and placing the waste in the proper receptacles.
8. Participate in safety and other training programs as required.
· Proficient in reading and writing English
· Understanding basic measurements and mathematics when using a calculator, and a comfort level with computers as some data entry or data lookup is required.

Provides direction and assumes responsibilities for all of the Powder Coating Paint Line. Collaborates with Packing & Assembly Department, Maintenance, and Production as necessary to organize and control day-to-day activities of the Powder Coating line. Ensure daily manufacturing schedules are met; that all documentation is processed and released to meet ship dates, Safety, Cleanliness, and records are maintained; the development and promotion of a team culture within the department; team motivation and team performance management.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• 1. Ensures adherence to daily paint schedule.
