Major duties include, but are not limited to:
Layout work to complete assignment, such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, trowels, screeds, straight edges, etc.
Prepares surfaces for paper hanging by sanding, scraping, and sizing.
Prepares surfaces for painting by scraping, hand and machine sanding, wire brushing, dusting, applying paint remover, filling cracks and nail holes, etc.
Implements and continuously updates the Engineering Service Automated Engineering Management System/Medical Equipment Reporting system (AEMS/MERS) that apply to the paint shop section.
Reads and applies directions that relate to the mixture, use and application of various kinds of materials.
Uses diagrams and schematics.
Uses tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, trowels, screeds, straight edges, viscosity testers, graining devices and wet and other thickness gauges.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8am to 4:30pm

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK CONDITIONS: The employee prepares and coats surfaces from ladders, scaffolds, and platforms, and where the surfaces to be coated are in cramped and hard-to-reach places. This position requires the employee to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. The employee frequently lifts, carries and sets up equipment that weighs up to 10 pounds. Occasionally, the employee may handle materials that weigh 40 pounds or over.
The work is done inside and outside, and dirt, spray, and fumes are usually present. The employee sometimes works outside in bad weather. Occasionally, the employee may be required to wear protective equipment and clothing that are sometimes heavy and uncomfortable. The employee is frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts and bruises. The employee is occasionally exposed to the possibility of broken bones.

This position will remove, install, diagnose, repair, disassemble, assemble, clean and perform failure analyses on Plunger Lift equipment. The Shop Hand will use service manuals properly and select correct tools and specifications. This is an on call position that has the potential of working extended amounts of overtime.

Perform a variety of duties to burr and break edges on aircraft engine parts according to instructions contained in operation sheets.
Work from operations sheets or instructions from parts coordinator or department supervisor.
As outlined in operations sheets, gather tools and other equipment needed to deburr parts.
Layout abrasives and air guns required for each part or operation. If needed, set-up holding devices such as rotary and hydraulic tables. Use carbide drills, emery cratex and flat wheels, PSA discs, buffing and wire sheets and diamond files according to the operation requirements.
Operate burr guns of different configurations or buffing machines to bring about dimensions required on operations sheets. Prepare first piece and submit along with appropriate documentation to In-Process Inspector. Inspect own work using micrometers, calipers, verniers, GO-NOGO gage blocks and pins and visual aids.
Maintain good housekeeping practices in work area in accordance with 6S principles.
Comply with all safety regulations including wearing required protective equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing environment.

Primarily responsible for preparing products for priming and/or finished painting process, and priming and painting products in the Paint Department on a rotating basis.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
Receives and checks invoices from paint/shipping supervisor for products to be cleaned and painted daily.
Manually cleans and applies spray cleaning solution to raw products.
Mixes paint for painting products. Includes identifying colors, checking viscosity, etc. Involves lifting 5 gallon aping buckets weighing up to 40 lbs. daily.
Manually sands and wipes raw products with cleaning solvent to remove grease, dirt and other foreign substances.
Applies masking materials to products to preserve surface for further processing.
Coats products with primer and finish paint using air assisted and/or airless sprayers and aerosol spray cans.
Applies high-pressure air from air hoses to remove dirt and other foreign substances before priming and painting process.
Manually applies serial number plates to products using electrical drill and pop rivet gun.
Operates forklift to transport products to and from paint booth.
Visually inspects products for quality before, during and after the painting process.
Maintains cleanliness and order of work area, equipment and tools. Includes replacing filters, and flooring of paint booths, cleaning paint spray guns, hoses and lights as needed.
Observes all safety regulations and reports any unsafe working conditions to department supervisor.
Attendance at work, including presence at work during regular working hours or other schedule as may be assigned by the department manager, is essential. Acceptance of overtime assignments may also be required in order to meet departmental goals and objectives.
Education: Requires a High School diploma or GED.
