Assistant Tumbling Instructor
General Description Benefits Supplemental Questions
This position assist in the instruction of recreational tumbling programs for children ranging in age from 3-12 years. Tumbling classes further develop the progression of gymnastic skills for those 3 years and up, including advanced students.
The work schedule may change based on the programming deeds of each season, however, the typical work schedule is as follows: A total of one 30-minute and three 40-minute tumbling classes are offered in 12-week sessions on Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Classes are held at the De Pere Community Center.
Equipment includes panel mats, landing mat, incline mat, incline mat, portable horizontal bar, spring board, octagonal spot, vaulting blocks, 2 balance beams, mini trampoline, tunnel, and a variety of miscellaneous props and play equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Applicant should be energetic, enthusiastic, creative and posses a knowledge of tumbling and gymnastics terminology/equipment.

Job Description: Summary
Saint Leo University, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Sunshine State Conference, invites applications for the current position of Head Acrobatics and Tumbling Coach. Preference will be given to those candidates who can demonstrate a vision in the recruitment of student-athletes that fits well with the institution's mission and core values.
Duties and Tasks:
The successful candidate for this full-time position will oversee all aspects of starting a collegiate acrobatics and tumbling program, including, but not limited to, recruiting qualified student-athletes, monitoring academic progress toward degree, budgeting, scheduling, competition and practice preparation, individual and program development, facility management, fundraising, and community activity. The incumbent must fulfill these duties while adhering to all rules, guidelines, and principles as set forth by NCATA, the NCAA, Sunshine State Conference and Saint Leo University.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
At least one year of experience coaching acrobatics and tumbling OR one or more disciplines of gymnastics and/or competitive cheer, preferably at the collegiate level.
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university preferred
Some experience coaching high school or college cheer or spirit team.
Preferable recruiting experience, NCATA experience and/or affiliation and professional membership in USA Gymnastics but can obtain this after hiring for otherwise qualified candidate.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate with numerous University constituencies in an effective manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coach acrobatic and tumbling techniques and safety guidelines is essential.
