Crown Cork & Seal's North American Beverage Division has openings at their manufacturing facility located in Conroe, Texas. This facility will manufacture aluminum cans for the beverage industry. This position will operate the Palletizer and Strapper equipment while performing quality checks of the finished goods to produce highest quality cans at the lowest possible costs.
Operate Palletizer and Strapper equipment.
Perform visual check of finished goods.
Remove, damaged and/or suspect finished goods from palletizer and report same to Supervision, Production Line Operator and Quality Inspector.
Utilize proper packaging materials (Chipboard, top frames and pallets)
Verify and place proper pallet tags on finished goods.
Perform quality checks and maintain documentation.
Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping
Follow all required environmental, health and safety procedures
Performs other related duties as required
Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion and regularly stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Skills and Qualifications:
6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred).

Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.

0.1 Auto palletizer operators apply straps to units of finished product, maintain product flow through the palletizer, and generate associated records.
0.2 Auto palletizer operators report to the shipping supervisor.
1.0 Primary auto palletizer operator duties/responsibilities include:
1.1 - following all safety rules and practices;
1.2 - reading factory work orders to learn customer requirements, and identifying the products that correspond to the work orders;
1.3 - positioning dunnage on units, and applying bands as specified on the work order;
1.4 - using the programming features of the equipment to set the proper strapping and the destination line for each item;
1.5 - monitoring the condition and maintenance needs of the equipment, and keeping maintenance and/or supervision informed of the equipment status;
1.6 - ensuring that the palletizer is run through breaks when the conveyor line is busy;
1.7 - stretch wrapping specified items as time permits;
1.8 - maintaining clean and organized work and storage areas;
1.9 - driving fork lifts as directed to unload the line, and to move, store, and load units;
1.10 - generating accurate records, including HRMS transactions, loading tallies, inventories, and other paperwork; and
1.11 - performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
2.0 The qualifications for auto palletizer operator are the ability to meet the requirements of the job with or without accommodation; the certified ability to safely operate a fork lift truck, the ability to read, write, and speak English; the ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler; the ability to use basic shop math; the ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Operates any and all palletizer and depalletizers in the plant. Performs assigned quality checks, rework, housekeeping, assigned SOP's, daily paperwork and any task assigned by management.

Operates manufacturing equipment effectively and efficiently to keep production lines at maximum productivity.
Continuously monitors quality of product and follows established protocols when defects are found.
Performs rework (can and chipboard) effectilvely and efficiently to keep HFI inventory at minimum levels.

Work with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost and productivity.

Palletizer Operator Fresh/Frozen Distribution Facility 3Rd Shift
Currently, Meijer is looking for a Palletizer Operator. The individual(s) selected for this position will be responsible for Operating Palletizer Conveyor, Receiving Inbound trailers, Manifesting outbound loads, checking quality/integrity of product, working with truck drivers and sanitation of the building. Position will be responsible for maintaining Meijer Receiving and Shipping standards for all commodities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for picking, inspecting, and packing quality parts into boxes on his/her assigned Thermoforming Line.
Accurately counting parts to ensure that customers get a consistent, quality product.
Bagging counted parts, and placing into correct box on the assigned production line.

Per instruction by Quality Group, holds bulk loads by writing on "Hold-Do Not Ship" sheet and affixes to pallet load.
Prepares and attaches load tickets.
Checks palletized loads if palletized and strapped properly. Checks integrity of loads.
Checks on steamer to check if operating properly. (Steamer steams flaps of cartons)
Keeps work area clean and orderly. Removes trash and cullet.
Builds load manually, as required during breakdown.

JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
To control the movement of filled customer orders to the staging location on the loading dock.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:
Using correct lifting procedures, the palletizer removes each tote/case from the conveyor belt.
The palletizer reads the load and stop number on each tote/case, placing all the totes/cases for each stop number on one pallet.
Stops when possible should always be placed on the pallet side by side with the labels facing out.
The palletizer counts the number of totes/cases for each stop, verifying the correct load numbers, and records the number of totes for each stop on the Tote Recap Sheet.
Only one load number is placed on a pallet. Never mix load numbers on one pallet.
Using the pallet jack, the palletizer transfers the pallet to the loading dock, at the correct door for loading.
A palletizer may be required to select several orders, at the onset of a shift.
Palletizer may be required to assist with filling outs or shorts.
Palletizer will report to supervisor/crew leader during slow periods, and complete any other work assigned.
Communicates with fellow employee's on the selection line to make sure the orders are kept in stop/batch sequence and placed onto the conveyor by load number.
Participates in all clean up activities, which may include, but are not limited to: sanitation responsibilities, mopping, sweeping, dusting, facing and down stacking product, and/or helping out other departments.
Ability and willingness to select/load/unload and/or deliver ALL products that may be ordered by our customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A teammate in this position must:
Have high school education or equivalent.
Have ability to identify and associate numbers for warehouse slot locations.
Have ability to retrieve merchandise from shelves 6 feet high.
Have ability to regularly lift and carry a tote weighing up to 60 lb. with a frequency of every 3 to 5 seconds.
Have ability to lift, turn and raise; and/or lift turn and bend down to place a tote weighing up to 60 lb. on to a pallet or stack of totes.

The environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center; material movement takes place throughout the facility.
This position requires the teammate to work inside majority of the time.
This position may require work in hot and cold temperature extremes and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents and components, and working in close to proximity to other teammates.
