GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:
The purpose of the Lay Health Promoter/Outreach worker is to conduct outreach and educational visits to participants of community-wide campaign programs relating to healthy lifestyles to priority community. Class is responsible for engaging community members by providing educational material, outreach messages and collecting data pertaining to programs. (This position is contingent upon continued availability of funds)
Conduct an assessment of health promotion programs that involve community health workers at the local/regional level.
Engage stakeholder's, identify current capacity and needed resources determine timelines and document implementation plans.
Discuss project materials and messages with community members and other members of program.
Establish rapport with community members to aid in behavior change.
Create partnerships with city and school entities in the community.
Encourage community members to participate in community based project activities and education.
Provide small and/or large group educational classes on physical activity, healthy eating and disease prevention.
Assist in data collection efforts including surveys and focus groups. This includes tracking participants' activities in programs, making referrals for unmet care and education needs, and obtaining basic anthropometric measures on participants (blood pressure, weight, height, and hip and waist circumference).
Communicate participants' questions and/or concerns to project leadership.
Assist in identifying health promotion programs in the area that involve community health workers.
Ensure that data set passes data test and provides results to determine baseline rates of controlled blood pressure among participants with hypertension.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Manufacturing Technician - Composite Lay Up
Cirrus of Grand Forks is looking for Composite Technicians. The Cirrus Facility in Grand Forks produces composite "fiberglass" parts such as Wings, Fuselages, Horizontals, and their accompanying parts for the Cirrus SR20, SR22 piston airplane, and the SF50 Vision Jet.

Cirrus entry level composite technicians will be trained to expertly perform lay-up and fabrication of composite "fiberglass" aircraft parts. Types of lay-up include major components and structures utilizing various types of resin infused carbon fiber and fiberglass.
Cirrus intermediate level composite technicians will have a minimum of one year experience in the field of composites "fiberglass" fabrication. An intermediate composite technician should have some ability to read, interpret and build from engineering and assembly drawings, process specifications and manufacturing process instructions.
Cirrus composite technicians will be trained into various manufacturing positions. Job duties can include multiple fabrication responsibilities including; hand fabrication of composite parts, tooling preparation and maintenance, cutting and trimming of various manufacturing materials, oven operation, and many more manufacturing processes.
A composite technician will have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in a fast paced team environment, be dependable, have a passion for learning and possess attention to detail. All manufacturing employees must have a basic ability to use, or learn to use a computer to access Cirrus Aircraft electronic data & software.
Manual Dexterity: You will need to use your hands with precision on small items and in small spaces. You must be quick and confident with your hands.
