To construct, maintain, repair, and modify wax molds and fixtures, to participate in the upgrading of production molds; to dimensionally check new and/or modified wax patterns and tooling to assure tooling packages meet specifications; to provide technical assistance to other departments.
1.Moldmaking and Repair
Objective: to construct, upgrade, modify or repair tooling and fixtures.
Essential Job Functions:
A. Identifies causes of tool problems and develops plans to remake, repair or upgrade tooling to increase operational efficiency.
B. Checks dimensions of tools and/or patterns using a variety of hand measuring devices, including micrometers, height gauges and dial indicators.
C. Lays out tooling projects.
D. Sets up and operates all department machine tools including mills, lathes, grinders, rotary tables; monitors and adjusts mechanical processes as required.
E. Provides technical assistance in ordering new molds and fixtures.
Objective: to perform work to acceptable design and drawing specifications, and industry standards.
Essential Job Functions:
A. Interprets engineering drawings, sketches and documentation for tool designs and concepts.
B. Evaluates and modifies designs as required; identifies errors, missing information and inconsistencies; calculates geometric dimensions and tolerances.
C. Checks finished work against specifications and standards; modifies when necessary.
Objective: to assure efficient and cost effective operation of all department tools and equipment.

B. Assures proper care and operations of tools and equipment.
C. Identifies areas for improvement in efficiency of methods and designs.

3.Ability to perform arithmetic calculations, including algebra, plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
4.Ability to use dimensional measuring tools and devices.
5.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
6.Previous experience in the construction and operation of wax molds is desirable.
7.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

The system engineer will design and create the system that converts the energy from the grid or from locomotive power to power our trains and will function as the local core engineering expert for the auxiliary electrical systems on light rail vehicles, locomotives and coaches. The auxiliary electrical system includes the auxiliary power supply converters, battery chargers, pantographs, low voltage batteries, ground brushes, grounding systems, shop power switch and receptacle, lightning arresters, high voltage fuses, contactors, and circuit breakers.
The responsibilities of this position include the concept, design, specification, integration, interface, compatibility, verification, and evaluation in support of extremely complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and/or electrical components or systems.
Evaluates and approves the technical capabilities and physical properties of A and some B system suppliers and the content of their proposals, type tests, production documents, software, and manuals.
Analyzes and approves the engineering products, software, and/or equipment specifications and performance to determine and verify functionality of the physical and functional interfaces.
Participates with suppliers, purchasing, quality, production, and project management regarding scheduling and system costs per contract.
Participates with purchasing, customer service, and quality in supplier master purchase agreements.
Participates in APS, Battery Charger, Battery, and Pantograph Strategic Supply Management with Purchasing and Quality.
Reviews and supports design packages within the auxiliary system responsibilities, providing detailed design reviews and support for vehicle mock-ups and swap compatibility tests.
Validates and/or conducts specified analyses or tests and makes recommendations for the development of new designs, methods, changes, or processes for the relevant system.
Supports and validates initial installation, system compliance and testing within their specialty field.
Writes detailed system specifications and scope of supply documents for supplier quotations and evaluates supplier offers with respect to technical requirements.
Prepares system descriptions and test procedures.
Reviews and approves vendor drawings, schematics, type test procedures, reports, and manuals prior to release.
Prepares formal presentations and participates in estimating and evaluating costs for proposals and contracts.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
At least 5 years of experience in inverter IGBT driven - Power Supply System
5-10 years industry experience.
Power electronics, relay logic, control logic and drive control knowledge required.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
15% travel time.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for inspection, testing and maintenance of electrical, electronic and HVAC systems on rolling stock equipment and components in accordance with FRA and Amtrak standards and guidelines. Works on electrical systems and components with AC and DC voltage.
Performs inspection, testing and maintenance in accordance with 49CFR regulations and Amtrak standards and guidelines
Utilizes a variety of test equipment, PC and graphic information to diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot and qualify components and circuits to determine corrective actions and causes of equipment failures
Repairs and/or replaces doors, electronics, signs, pantographs and HVAC systems
Installs components such as motors, generators, switches, relays, batteries and transformers
Performs approved electrical modifications and repairs or replaces components, as necessary
Troubleshoots equipment to determine corrective actions and causes of equipment failures
Maintains proper care and use of materials, test equipment, machines and hand tools normally associated with assigned job
Experience in electrical repairs, and testing advanced electrical/electronic systems and reading, drafting, and interpreting circuit diagrams, schematics and mechanical drawings
Experience in both A/C and D/C electrical systems
Must successfully complete training and attain/retain certifications applicable to assigned job
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and multimeters

DL FMS Joint Venture has an immediate opening for part-time Driver System Operators (Fuel Truck Drivers) at its contact to provide alongside aircraft refueling and related services at Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River, MD.
Driver System Operators shall be tasked to perform fuel servicing operations (refuel/defuel operations) by mobile fuel servicing equipment/trucks, truck supplied pantograph and hoses sets, and fixed direct fuel servicing systems (hydrants). Operators shall be familiar with safety regulations applicable to aviation and ground fuel servicing operations on and around the airfield and supported activities and shall demonstrate a practical knowledge of and ability to inspection and maintain fuel servicing equipment and systems. Drivers/system operators may be required to make basic input to the Fuels Automated System (FAS) or maintain dispatch logs.
Minimum of 5 years of experience operating Tractor Trailers, a CDL Class A license with Tanker & Hazmat endorsement. High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
