As directed by the Inventory Control Manager, this position plans, coordinates and maintains effective inventory control records and system procedures for responsible areas. As directed by the Inventory Control Manager, analyzes inventory levels and coordinates with production and sales to ensure that required materials are on-hand to meet production schedules.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Assist as directed in managing $20 million inventory to ensure that the goal of maintaining a variance of less than 1% is achieved.
Assist as directed in managing warehouse inventory accuracy in support of annual sales volume of $120 million to ensure that optimum customer satisfaction is achieved by minimizing out of stock situations.

The Stock Clerk will effectively manage daily inventory control. Responsibilities include:
Pulling necessary material out of stock by following each verbal or printed request, pick list, material transfer, etc. using the FIFO (First In First Out) method; properly maintaining paperwork for shortages and the transfer or issuance of stock material; ensuring materials are stored in an orderly and accessible manner and keeping similar parts in the same area within the stockroom; counting material using a scale to verify amount and match it to the printed request or verbal instruction; bag and tag the material to ensure proper labeling; deliver material to the proper department and obtain necessary signatures; assist in counting of physical inventory. Will be responsible for entering information from various paperwork sources into a database system to generate the appropriate corresponding transaction. Maintain maintenance inventory in a clean and safe condition.
Ensure that adequate parts are available for repair and preventative maintenance at the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Train new associates in MVP procedures.
Obtain pricing of and order parts for the maintenance department
Schedule and enter preventative maintenance tasks into the MVP system. Maintain department PO process and track Inventory, work orders, and usages within MVP system. Generate reports from the MVP maintenance software.
Research, negotiate with, and establish new vendors following AE procedure, maintaining quality while reducing maintenance spend.
Solve intermittent issues between vendors, e.g. lost shipments, wrong parts and unpaid invoices.
Establish and communicate schedule for maintenance department tasks; electrical glove testing, cycle thru, uniform upkeep, supply orders, etc.
Pursue continuous improvement for processed and cost reduction measures
Responsible for purchasing card spend up to $35000 per month- monthly reconciliation.
Additional responsibilities & projects as assigned.
High school education or equivalent, associates degree preferred.
Minimum three years experience working with Industrial Maintenance inventory and purchasing.
High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook, Internet applications and any CMMS package (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) preferably MVP.
Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, & planning skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bi-lingual – English/Spanish is a plus
Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
Manual dexterity is required, and ability to lift up to 50lbs on an infrequent basis.
Ability to work in high bay areas and other high areas of DC, climbing up and down stairs
Data Entry, computer keyboard and adding machine skills a must.
Ability to perform basic math skills, and comprehension and comparison of PO quantities
Flexibility to work all days and shifts, including overtime on request/as needed
