The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a Paste Backfill Operator to work in a camp based environment rotating on a two week in/two week out shift rotation.

The Paste Backfill Operator within the Mill Department reports to the Mill Supervisor.
Operate equipment associated with the backfill requirements of the operation
Provide quality control to the backfill process
Assist with other activities involved in the mining cycle;
Assist with maintenance repairs as required;
Perform pre-operational checks, and operate equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures;
Monitor equipment and processes and ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported clearly;
Conduct trouble shooting activities when problems arise;
Complete Operator Report Sheets and Daily Log Books.
Five (5) years experience in cut/fill operations;
Valid driver's license;
Physically fit to perform the duties of the position.

Treyarch is on the hunt for a talented, dedicated, and passionate Concept Artist to design Characters, Weapons, and Vehicles for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This will be a Temporary position (at least 12 months). A successful candidate is an Artist that absolutely LOVES all things Characters, Weapons, and Vehicles, and has the talent and skill to match that love, while being a total team player. This is a critical role which focuses on some of the most important aspects of First Person Shooter games. Candidates experience will determine the level, so whether you're new to the industry, or a seasoned veteran, we want to see your work because we're looking for the right person!
What you'll be doing:
Create concept art for characters, creatures, weapons, interactive props, and vehicles – ranging from loose exploration sketches all the way to full rendered designs.
Generate paint overs on temp art assets to push visuals further and problem solve.
Work closely with Artists, Animators, and Designers on the design and function of characters, weapons, and vehicles.
Work closely with Art Directors and Lead Artists to ensure common visual language.
The skills and experience you will need and bring:
Experience in the games or film industry, making characters, weapons, or vehicles.
Have a strong background in traditional art skills and demonstrate an understanding of fundamentals like three-dimensional space, composition, perspective, proportion, scale, value and color theory.
Demonstrates strong sketching abilities as well as rendering, graphic design and iconography. Understands which art techniques to employ to deliver the piece on time while communicating what is needed to the team.
Need a strong sense of material surfaces and ability to communicate that visually.
Excellent understanding of mechanical function and purpose.
Self-managing and able to identify and meet deadlines and goals.
Fast and organized at researching and reference gathering.

The Penn State Altoona Visual Art Studies program invites applications for its Spring 2019 Emerging Artist in Residence. This year's residency seeks a studio artist with an emphasis in painting.
Oils, watercolor, gouache, and acrylic will be considered, with a strong preference for low-toxicity approaches that involve minimal to no use of solvents. The residency is designed to offer an emerging artist substantial time to develop a new or existing body of work, and offers a salary of $10,000. Duties include teaching one course in Painting during the Spring 2019 semester (January 7 - May 2, 2019); lecture about ongoing and future work, and serve as a resource to Visual Art Studies students.
The Emerging Artist in Residence will also mount a solo exhibition. Benefits are not included. Studio/living space is not provided by Penn State Altoona though resources are available to assist in finding appropriate rental spaces.
The Emerging Artist we seek will present a promising record of exhibitions. Selection will be based on the quality of the work submitted, as determined by the selection committee. A Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting or a related field, earned within the past three years (2016 or later), is required.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE: THEATRE DESIGN - Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois invites applications for a two year Artist in Residence appointment in theatre design beginning in August of 2018.
This position is for 10 months each year with the possibility of employment in our summer theatre program for an additional stipend. In addition to teaching up to two courses per year in design and stagecraft, the candidate will provide scenic and lighting design for three mainstage theatre productions, one opera and one children's theatre production in a new 260 seat thrust theatre. M.F.A. in scenic or lighting design preferred, equivalent professional experience considered. The primary responsibility of a Graphic Artist is to ensure arts for each respective production type are produced accurately, on time, and in accordance with GTM quality standards.
