POSITION TITLE: Helper
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
Responsible for all activities associated with Feeding the machine , stacking the equipment and helping the operators including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and follow instructions on factory masters.
Load sheets into the feeder section of the Machine
Set-up bundler, hold down arm, load former, and delivery end of machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
Secure proper cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags for production runs.
Stack finished boxes in accordance with factory master.
Ensure each unit has proper top and bottom cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags.
Monitor quality of boxes and report quality problems to Operator.
Assist operator and first helper as necessary.
Ensure correct bundle and unit counts.
Report final count of piece unit to operator.
Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
Helps operators adhere to production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Reports any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.

This position must be able to perform all jobs and operate all machines in the Flour department. This position is responsible for tasks such as monitoring the press blender bagger, making adjustments as needed for product quality, reporting any issues to the supervisor or lead and to fill out various log sheets.
This position is required to follow all Tyson safety rules and to complete Lock Out Tag Out Training. This position will be exposed on a routine basis to warm temperatures ranging from 65-90 degrees, wet and or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas, and concrete floors. This position also may be exposed to air borne particles, and a noise level loud enough to require hearing protection.
This position will require walking, bending, standing, and possibly lifting up to 50lbs on a frequent basis. All other assigned duties given by supervisor.
