This position is primarily responsible for the grading of new footwear pattern designs, while ensuring the manufacturability of the concept within the Danner factory, aiding in final commercialization of new product lines, and project management of new products. The Pattern Engineer II position will provide mentorship for the Pattern Engineer I and continue to be mentored by the Senior Pattern Engineer striving for a mastery understanding of footwear pattern engineering.
Qualified candidates will address sustaining engineering issues relating to patterns, processes and components while consulting with Manufacturing Engineers and Production on manufacturing impact.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION (Other duties may be assigned.):
Grade patterns and create die breaks.
Design, manufacture, and order manufacturing support tools.
Project management of new styles from prototype to production.
Provide inline footwear pattern support.
Continually review existing patterns and recommend manufacturability improvements.
Aid in bill of material creation for all new product introductions.
Perform cost analysis of various pattern revisions.
Follows projects through the commercialization tech process.
Ability to create last drafts and digitize paper patterns.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in apparel design, engineering or equivalent.
5 to 9 years work experience in the footwear industry as a pattern engineer.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe illustrator preferred.
Working knowledge of Procam Dimensions patterning software preferred or equivalent CAD software.
Experience with inspection of footwear materials, especially a background in leather.
Experience in creating manufacturing support tools.
Attention to detail and a discerning eye for quality.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.

We're looking for a Director of Pattern and Technical Design to drive the garment development process by overseeing patternmaking, garment construction, and fit. This position will lead a team to maintain technical standards across our product categories while meeting seasonal calendar milestones.
Lead and manage our team of Patternmakers and Technical Designers
Implement internal patternmaking process to ensure consistent fit across vendor base
Establish pattern block library
Scale department to support OV growth.
Build technical packages including Bill of Materials, specs, pattern blocks, and construction

7+ years relative industry experience, 2 years specifically in activewear or similar fabric profiles
Advanced pattern making skills (must have professional hands-on experience)
Expert in product standards, garment construction, sizing and grading
Ability to work effectively cross-functionally; Must be able to accurately execute design product creation as per design direction
Experience fitting on live models, including size sets; ability to recommend changes in grading
Advanced knowledge of activewear garment construction

To prepare patterns for assembly and to prepare soluble cores for pattern molding; wax welds multiple components using fixtures to maintain dimensional conformity; repairs wax patterns and soluble cores in accordance with quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Objective: to assemble pattern components and/or make dimensional alterations to patterns.
A. Reads techcards and engineering instructions.
B. Assembles wax components into visually and dimensionally acceptable patterns; may use specialized fixturing.
C. Modifies patterns or soluble cores using various hand tools and wax materials.
D. Inspects modifications with special gauges and other measuring devises.
E. Occasionally inserts ceramic cores in wax patterns and maintains dimensional integrity (TBO only).
Objective: to fix broken or damaged patterns and soluble cores and restore to dimensionally acceptable condition.
A. Replaces broken features by wax welding fragments or by using other wax supplies to reconstruct missing areas.
B. Fills voids and reforms damaged contours by attaching and shaping stock wax.
Objective: to work patterns and soluable core surfaces to meet visual inspection criteria.
A. Removes flash, mismatch and other surface positives using a variety of hand tools and materials.
B. Fills or patches negatives using paint wax, melted stock wax, hot pencils and other tools and materials.
C. Completes dimensional integrity restoration and plugging of holes per techcards.
D. Inspects work for compliance with quality standards.

A. Places sticky wax pads or stamps specified serial numbers directly into patterns, per techcards

Door Shop Assemblers are responsible for construction of doors and windows made to order. Check product and raw material specifications (lengths, angles). Set up door machinery and equipment to specifications.
Transport raw materials and finished products to and from machinery, equipment and storage area. Door Shop Assemblers load and unload inventory as needed. Travel to job site for replacement and/or repair of warranty work.

- Familiarity with 120/240 single phase, 120/240V delta 3 phase, 120/208V 3 phase, and 277/480V 3 phase systems
- Splice wires and/or terminate wires to lighting, power and control equipment
- Connect power cables to equipment
- Possess a working knowledge of the NEC.
- One to two years of experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the construction trade
