- The main function of a Pattern Developer is to develop, create, and modify general computer applications software. Developer will be responsible for analyzing requirements, prototyping data analysis solutions (primarily in Hive SQL or Spark and UNIX scripting), designing, developing and unit testing solutions, and facilitating solution deployment and support.

Plans a new pattern construction from start to finish in the least amount of time while maintaining the highest level of quality.

Grader/Sorters are primarily responsible for grading and sorting incoming metal products according to factors such as appearance and quality to ensure correct processing and usage. Other responsibilities include general yard cleanup and other maintenance functions.
This is a physical job, so applicants must be able to frequently walk on uneven ground, handle and grasp materials, crouch, bend, reach, climb, twist, push, pull and lift/carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Nidec Minster Corporation's Pattern Shop provides pattern and prototype products and services to the foundry industry as well as Minster's own gray and ductile iron foundry. The current openings are a result of planned growth and the introduction of new technology, methods and materials. The basic function is as follows: A Pattern Set-up person will perform condition changes to patterns, repair patterns as required, and provide support to our Journeyman Patternmakers. In addition, this position is to provide support as needed for pattern set-up for our metal castings operation that will include delivery of patterns, set-up of rapid turnaround patterns in our foundry operation, gating set-up, prototypes, Styrofoam and low volume production. This work will be completed in the pattern shop, foundry, pattern storage facilities and occasional travel to vendor locations. To prepare patterns for assembly and to prepare soluble cores for pattern molding; wax welds multiple components using fixtures to maintain dimensional conformity; repairs wax patterns and soluble cores in accordance with quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Objective: to assemble pattern components and/or make dimensional alterations to patterns.
A. Reads techcards and engineering instructions.
B. Assembles wax components into visually and dimensionally acceptable patterns; may use specialized fixturing.
C. Modifies patterns or soluble cores using various hand tools and wax materials.
D. Inspects modifications with special gauges and other measuring devises.
E. Occasionally inserts ceramic cores in wax patterns and maintains dimensional integrity (TBO only).
Objective: to fix broken or damaged patterns and soluble cores and restore to dimensionally acceptable condition.
A. Replaces broken features by wax welding fragments or by using other wax supplies to reconstruct missing areas.
