Foundry Pattern Rigger
To complete foundry patterns and mounting of risers, gates and vents to produce a sound casting. Complete other tooling repairs and rigging. Work from instructions, orders, drawings and observations to make patterns from metal, wood and other materials.
Scope: Reports to the pattern shop supervisor and works closely with molding supervisor and production management personnel.
Primary Job duties:
Repair and rigging of new and existing production patterns and tooling.
Ensure that new jobs are completed to facilitate sample due dates.
Repair/Redesign existing tooling to reduce scrap.
Gate and rig foundry tooling as necessary
Primary Departmental Duties:

Description & Key Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for the development and execution of standardized methods and processes by which automotive window film and paint protection film patterns are collected and entered into Eastman's pattern databases. The Pattern Technologist will be focused initially on developing expertise in the creation of paint protection film patterns and will be responsible for collaborating closely with Performance Films Technical Services to both standardize the collection of patterns and conduct training on pattern creation.
Develop expertise in making high quality, consistent paint protection patterns
Develop a standardized offering on paint protection kits in terms of pattern types and cut types
Determine and provide recommendations on what types of patterns are easiest to teach and install
Create and maintain an SOP detailing the pattern acquisition process and kit offerings
Proactively train and transfer knowledge throughout Eastman Performance Films Technical Services
Work with sales and technical services organization to develop pattern acquisition channels
Collaborate with Cutting Systems Team to identify, prioritize and execute software modifications relevant to improving the functionality and usability relevant to PPF
Continuously evaluate and implement improvements and new methods to the pattern acquisition process
Create paint protection and window film patterns for cutting systems software on an ongoing basis
Collaborative input in developing installation training methods and processes that are aligned with our pattern making processes
4-year degree preferred

Pattern Finisher - Ssbo/115
To prepare patterns for assembly and to prepare soluble cores for pattern molding; wax welds multiple components using fixtures to maintain dimensional conformity; repairs wax patterns and soluble cores in accordance with quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Objective: to assemble pattern components and/or make dimensional alterations to patterns.
A. Reads techcards and engineering instructions.
B. Assembles wax components into visually and dimensionally acceptable patterns; may use specialized fixturing.
C. Modifies patterns or soluble cores using various hand tools and wax materials.
D. Inspects modifications with special gauges and other measuring devises.
E. Occasionally inserts ceramic cores in wax patterns and maintains dimensional integrity (TBO only).
Objective: to fix broken or damaged patterns and soluble cores and restore to dimensionally acceptable condition.
A. Replaces broken features by wax welding fragments or by using other wax supplies to reconstruct missing areas.
B. Fills voids and reforms damaged contours by attaching and shaping stock wax.
Objective: to work patterns and soluable core surfaces to meet visual inspection criteria.
A. Removes flash, mismatch and other surface positives using a variety of hand tools and materials.
B. Fills or patches negatives using paint wax, melted stock wax, hot pencils and other tools and materials.
C. Completes dimensional integrity restoration and plugging of holes per techcards.
D. Inspects work for compliance with quality standards.

Minimum of 100 flight hours within the last 3 years.
Minimum of 1,500 total flight hours.
Possession of single and multi-engine land airplane ratings.
