The Project Engineer will ensure adherence to and application of recognized PM principles under the leadership of a Program Manager. The Program Lead will act as the focal point for all aspects of the account and will provide the Program Manager with information necessary to manage the program.
As a Project Engineer, your key accountabilities will include:
Coordinate with Control Account Managers, Lead Project Engineers, Program Managers, and Resource Managers in the management of engineering project schedules, clear definition of deliverables, and adherence to engineering plan and budget.
Oversee the design, fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems for gas turbine powered generator sets and propulsion packages in marine applications. Evaluate design details and functionality to ensure compliance with requirements.
Interface with customers and suppliers to troubleshoot, analyze, and perform root cause analysis on application problems.
Make customer presentations as directed.
Assure accurate transmittal of contract information throughout the organization.
Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.
Perform special project assignments and other related duties.
Provide oversight of the construction of machine and subassemblies considering such specifications as gear ratios, bearing loads, and direction of moving parts.
Analyze engineering sketches, specifications and related data, and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts. Engage in configuration management and change control of components, subsystems, and systems, including design documentation and data deliverables.
Under direction compile and analyze test data to determine effect on design. Consider such factors as temperature, pressures, speed, horsepower, and fuel consumption into the analysis. Help oversee testing of gas turbine power generation module systems, subassemblies, and components
Travel as required to support supervision of installations and troubleshooting. Establish and implement procedures for technical support.
As directed, perform or assist with operations to maintain work flow and schedule.
Willingness to travel (domestic and international) on a scheduled/unscheduled basis.

This position will consist of developing and supporting various engineering projects related to the development, validation, and testing of powertrain/vehicle control systems in the OE and aftermarket sectors.
Develop or assist in the development of a statement of requirements for engineering projects. Confer with customer to review and clarify requirements.
Directly modify or specify new components of the data acquisition system to ensure it meets customer design and performance requirements for powertrain/vehicle system development and validation.
Research, analyze, and assist in the implementation of innovative methods to collect and present powertrain/vehicle systems data and information, which increases value to the customer.
Gather voice of the customer feedback for software design engineers to solve customer issues and implement new solutions to satisfy customer needs related to powertrain/vehicle system development, validation, and testing.
Review customer data and reports to verify correctness, completeness, data fidelity, and value
Confer with engineers and other personnel to root cause and resolve system malfunctions, implement operating procedures, and provide technical information to the customer.
Conduct engineering tests that will analyze the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of Control-Tec equipment, software, and systems
Establish and maintain customer/internal data creation standards
Maintain customer/supplier contact and assist in Supplier Management
Develop engineering solutions within assigned project(s) scope and timing
Contribute to project quotes, various reports, presentations, and studies
Continue to stay current in training in the latest calibration technology
Bachelor's Degree -Automotive, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, preferred.
Knowledge of OE & aftermarket engine, OBD, transmission or vehicle systems calibration, validation, and development.
Knowledge of product development tools including data acquisition, management, and analysis tools
Strong written and oral communication skills. This role interacts with both external customers and internal management.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to see the "big picture" and understand how individual tasks interconnect and impact other parts of the testing process.
