The Manager Public Relations and Community Affairs at Mount St. Mary's is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing public relations, community relations, and advocacy activities that promote and protect the Catholic Health and Mount St. Mary's ministry level brands including, but not limited to internal communications in support of various projects, initiatives, and promotions; external communications to the general community; social media; proactive and reactive media relations; local business relations; and communications that support physician relations and service line promotion. The Manager Public Relations and Community Affairs develops and maintains relationships with the Mount St. Mary's ministry-level leadership and management teams to help identify and promote news and events that will advance the mission of the ministry and the system. Reporting to the Catholic Health Manager of Public Relations, the Manager Public Relations and Community Affairs will coordinate Mount St. Mary's ministry-level Public Relations activities to be consistent with the established Public Relations goals and strategies of the system, and will have support responsibilities for all other Ministries and corporate functions.
In addition to the Public Relations activities identified above, the Manager Public Relations and Community Affairs has the following responsibilities:
Working with identified Catholic Health leadership, the Manager Public Relations and Community Affairs will:
(1) work with ministry Mission Integration to coordinate the development and implementation of the Niagara County Community Health Needs Assessment and Community Service Plan;
(2) communicate with the local business community to advocate on behalf of Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Catholic Health.
Working with Ministry-level leadership, the Manager Public Relations and Community Affairs will:
(1) coordinate and oversee activities of the hospital's St. Francis Guild Auxiliary and Board of Associates volunteers and their initiatives;
(2) oversee activities associated with developing a volunteer involvement program for both junior and adult volunteers;
(3) coordinate various community activities and;
(4) engages local community groups and organizations as appropriate.
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Marketing Communication or other related field required.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of public relations work experience in an large organization setting; preferably in both a large-scale organizational communication and tactical marketing work environment.

activities in support of Lenovo’s Data Center Group (DCG) PR strategy. The

Essential Job Functions:
- Media/Influencer Relations Strong relationships with more than ten key media across business and industry. Ability to identify new media and opportunities for clients and share with teams and across the agency regularly.
Regular and ongoing proactive pitches that generate coverage for the whole team. Coaching of junior staff to improve team relationships. Strong grasp and creative use of social media channels to engage and support efforts.
Experience measuring the ROI of communications activities. Experience with social media influencer engagement, content campaigns, and media coverage amplification.
Client Service/Management Ability to manage projects from concept through execution. Track competitors and flag opportunities and news events for commentary or discussion.
Own and direct client PR calls. Provide counsel on media opportunities and coverage even under difficult circumstances. Develop quarterly campaigns and PR plans including creative campaigns, trendscapes and thought leadership topics.
Own key elements of the PR program (analysts, speaking, content, etc.) Be a solid go to resource for client contact. Develop budget and team priority allocations. Participate in media training sessions with clients including developing key messages and all follow up from session.
Writing Proficiencies Ability to generate a plan for a campaign or an entire PR program. Ability to generate and edit award submissions, press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, biographies, tour reports, briefing books, contributed articles, speaking opportunity abstracts, pitches, Q&As, company memoranda and general team correspondence; also responsible for their production and assembly.
Professional, articulate and timely client communication. Development of consistent, creative, successful pitches.
Agency Operations Participation in new business process including proactively identifying new targets, research and presenting at pitch. Identify, attend and encourage others to attend networking events.
Maintain a respectful, enthusiastic, and professional attitude towards coworkers, clients, and outside colleagues and lead team by example. Support teams and manage up and down. Responsible use of flexible work policies.
Uses Highwire social channels; writes for Highwire blog. Mentor junior staff to elevate development.
Self Development Proactively set up quarterly goals with manager; track against goals and demonstrate growth. Effectively prioritize responsibilities based on impact, timelines, workflow and client goals.
Drive projects forward independently, eliminating the need for managers to consistent check in re: follow through/ task completion. Identify areas for self-improvement and bring suggestions and solutions to management. Consistently hit deadlines or give enough notice if you won't. Attends regular networking events.

Public Relations Director

The Public Relations Director will serve as the official on-air spokesperson for CARFAX, a trusted consumer advocate featured on national and local news programs daily. This role will develop and execute public relation strategies that continue to generate positive press coverage for CARFAX products and services that help consumers shop, buy, own and sell used cars with more confidence. This position will report to the Vice President of Marketing.

As the Public Relations Director, you will:
Consumer Public & Media Relations
Identify and create opportunities for successful placement of news stories for CARFAX.
Develop and foster strong relationships with consumer reporters in traditional and online media outlets across the country, and become their go-to resource for consumer-protection stories related to automobiles.
Field inbound media inquiries and manage those to successful public relations coverage.
Develop messaging and responses for various business issues that might also have public relations implications.
Craft informative press releases and articles, manage consumer testimonials, and facilitate content distribution among various audiences.
Monitor and measure the consumer media coverage generated for CARFAX.
B2B Public & Media Relations
Develop and maintain a robust trade media contacts list and establish strong relationships with key editors, journalists, influencers and non-traditional media.
Craft informative press releases and articles that get positive story placements in B2B print and online publications.
Establish key CARFAX team members as industry experts and schedule appropriate interviews and speaking engagements.
Develop and maintain archive of proprietary B2B audio/video content.
Monitor and measure the CARFAX B2B news coverage
Proven on-camera communications skills – ability to communicate effectively on-camera and in front of audiences, especially while under pressure and tight deadlines.
Strong writing skills – ability to write compelling, effective and concise copy and effectively communicate across various industries.
Video production skills – ability write video scripts and produce high-quality video content for various consumer and B2B communications purposes.
Ability to move ideas to action – a "get it done" ability to turn project concepts into viable public relations programs.
Project management/organizational skills – ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines without sacrificing detail.
Interpersonal skills – ability to coordinate efforts in a cross-departmental capacity to meet corporate goals.
Must be able to take initiative – takes ownership of projects, sometimes with little direction, creatively plans and problem solves, and sees through to completion.
Minimum of eight (8) years work-related experience
Bachelor's degree in related field of study
