Completes all necessary delivery forms and paperwork including, but not limited to invoices, work orders, manifests and logs, patient care instructions, route sheets, etc.
Delivers equipment and oxygen as required in accordance with industry standards and applicable federal, state and local governmental regulations

Highway Maintenance Workers are certified by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) to operate a variety of complex or specialized highway maintenance and construction equipment in order to restore and maintain the integrity of roadway surfaces; maintain roadside slopes, shoulders, culverts and ditches to restore drainage and prevent erosion; and repair or replace related roadway appurtenances such as guardrails, markers, guide posts and fences.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
These positions are located within District I, Las Vegas. Under general supervision of a Highway Maintenance Supervisor I, incumbents will function as the assistant supervisor or lead person.
Duties include striping, signs, pavement markings, roadway lighting, roadside maintenance, summer betterment projects, snow removal, and anti-icing/de-icing as policy requires. Crew members also respond to emergency situations from traffic control for all incidents, both natural and manmade, to removing debris in the travel lanes or similar unplanned events that require an immediate response to protect the public. When those events occur, maintenance personnel are called out 24 hours a day in order to promptly alleviate or at least warn the driving public of the condition.
The hours for these positions are subject to change depending on the needs of the appointing authority and may be five 8 hour shifts or four 10 hour shifts. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of experience as a Highway Maintenance Worker III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Requirements This position may require working alternate shifts and outside of traditional business hours.
The hours of this position are subject to change based on the needs of the appointing authority. Typical shifts are four 10-hour or five 8-hour shifts, but may include some variation depending on the specific needs of the department. This position requires an applicant be at least 18 years of age upon application.
If selected, proof of being at least 18 years of age will be required. Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
In addition, federal law requires random testing for controlled substances during employment. A valid drivers license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. Additional Position Criteria A letter of certification in the operation of complex or specialized highway maintenance or construction equipment, from a current or previous employer is required to be attached to your application at the time of submittal.
Failure to attach this letter may result in the denial of your application. Certification must be in the form of a letter from a current or previous employer and must include dates, hours, and types of equipment used. This letter must be presented on official business letterhead and be signed by the appointing authority. A Class A commercial driver's license, including appropriate endorsements will be required within six months of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
