The primary purpose of the Operations Manager is to serve internal and external customers and to provide leadership for manufacturing in order to produce the full line of Kemin Textiles products while maintaining all manufacturing performance and quality standards, and adhering to the required measures to ensure a safe work environment.
Provide overall leadership and day-to-day direction of the manufacturing department.
Complete production plan by coordinating work schedule and personnel assignment, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, and resolving problems.
Monitor product consistency and ensure quality in finished product through a variety of assessments
Management of chemical auxiliaries mixture and basic transformation about products for garment treatment
Quality control and validation of chemical formulation
Process industrialization and able to reply the product in foreign subsidiaries
Lean manufacturing, 5s+1
To validate chemical formulations
Ensure quality protocol about certifications ISO 9001 and 140000
Ensure tools calibrations
Management of equipments maintentance
Support and follow all safety procedures and protocols for a safe and clean work environment; Educate and direct personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with all departments towards continuous plant improvements.
Monitor inventories to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing.
Ensure that employees in department receive proper job training.
Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating and recommending new equipment and techniques.
Achieve and maintain regulatory and quality compliance standards.
Contributes towards writing the annual strategic plan, including budgeting and KPI-setting.
Control and consistently meet cost metrics.
Read process flow charts, write, update, and follow standard operating procedures.
Work with other departments by maintaining and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
May also manage/oversee remote locations.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
Must have a solid understanding and adherence to the Servant Leadership philosophy.
Ability to read and understand process flow charts.
Ability to read, write, and handle basic and complete math problems.
Strong written and oral communication skills, and excellent team-building abilities.
Basic computer knowledge including MS Office.
Modern ERP software knowledge
Must be detail oriented and good time management skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong financial skills.
Mechanical ability is a plus.
Demonstrated integrity and honesty in all aspects.
Experience as an effective project manager, project team player, leader and motivator; and the ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with peers and all levels of management and subordinates.
Bachelor's degree Engineering or Chemical preferred
at least 7 years of experience in production environment
Chemical knowledge is required
