Maintenance Electrician - 2ND Or 3RD Shift
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for supporting and promoting all company goals including an injury free work environment through safe work practices. The incumbent evaluates, diagnoses, analyzes, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs electrical (mechanical) functions of the extrusion process including but not limited to, all electrical equipment, instrumentation and electrical / computerized process control systems. The incumbent while also working with minimum supervision, will support the manufacturing facility and operations in a variety of troubleshooting, repairs, installation and operational tasks associated with electrical and controls equipment (& mechanical) operation and performance. The Maintenance Electrician is a 2nd shift position.
More specifically, this position will be responsible for:
- Maintaining strong safety awareness and knowledge of plant electrical processes and safety procedures
- Promoting an injury-free work environment
- Responding quickly to avoid and correct unsafe conditions and maintains equipment to ensure safe operations
- Participating in required JSBO and JSA activities, performs interactive safety training, and always wears all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Performs appropriate Lockout/Tagout Procedures for all machinery and equipment repairs including troubleshooting problems with existing and new installations
- Responsible for installing, improving or modifying electrical, controls and instrumentation equipment
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair of all related electrical equipment & electrical instrumentation in areas of responsibility
- Responsible for testing, calibration, and preventive maintenance (PMs) of electrical equipment and instrumentation
- Interacts and works with engineering, construction services and manufacturing personnel in a team environment
- Manages contract personnel, outside vendors, quotations and construction services on an as-needed basis
- Be involved in continuous improvement and reliability improvement processes
- Evaluates recurring maintenance problems to determine root cause, formulates and implements a corrective action plan and follows up on implemented correction actions

- Maintains good housekeeping practices within area and participate in department safety and housekeeping activities
- Train new or backup personnel to support his or her trade
- Evaluate new technology, equipment and / or processing conditions to improve safety, quality or productivity

- Possess a minimum of a high school or trade school diploma
- Possess a State Electricians License (State of Massachusetts preferred) with completed
electrical apprenticeship program
- 5+ years of industry related electrical experience
- Should possess solid industrial mechanical skills to complement electrical skills
- Working knowledge of computers including: SAP, Excel and Microsoft Office are desired
- Be able to spot electrical equipment deficiencies, malfunctions and breakdowns, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair deficiencies
- Be physically fit and able to routinely lift and carry up to 55 lbs of weight, climb stairs, lift and pull 10 lbs of weight in the overhead position, stoop and bend at the knees and waist without concerns
- Able to withstand a working environment where ambient room temperatures approach 100+ degrees in summer months, noise levels approaching 80 dB, and numerous hot surfaces exist

SUMMARY Perform a wide variety of complex maintenance duties to repair and maintain equipment and Facilities using multiple skills generally applicable to manufacturing maintenance and building trades. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES + Plan procedures, repair, and install production and building equipment.
Perform electrical, piping, carpentry, painting, hydraulic/ pneumatic, sheet metal work, and other maintenance trade tasks to maintain or improve production operations.
Disassemble and determine extent of repairs necessary on a variety of production machinery. Inform supervisor of critical situations.
Identify and/or make repair parts. Perform welding and routine machining operations as necessary.
Conduct preventative maintenance on plant equipment. Schedule, inspect, oil, grease, adjust and refer problems to manager or team lead.
Install water and air lines. Perform major building repairs or installations.
Instruct and direct one or two maintenance mechanic B or Cs.
Maintain established quality and quantity standards.
Follow prescribed safety precautions, established by company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision.
Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.

Must have 3-5 years’ experience in a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

US-MA-South Deerfield Job Number: 17206359 CTG's premier global client in South Deerfield, MA has a six week contract assignment for a Data Entry Clerk. There is a possibility of extension after the initial contract period. The W2 hourly pay rate will be $24.99/hr.
Major Contributing Activities: This is a roughly six week assignment to assist the Deerfield site with the creation of new materials, production bills of material and recipes. This data will be used to create materials in the SAP ERP system, though the data preparation will be performed in Excel.
The persons hired will be trained to utilize existing data in an Excel format and populate data to new materials. Additionally, new bills of material and production recipes will be created for the new materials using the same general process. The data entry clerks may need to navigate and look up information in a local data warehouse application and transpose data into the Excel format.
The clerks will be trained by a Deerfield subject matter expert (or experts), will follow their direction to complete the necessary work. The SME's will validate the clerks' work throughout the assignment period. Qualifications: The data entry clerk must have good to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, mainly Excel, tools and have overall good computer skills and aptitude.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Access, or the ability to quickly learn new desktop applications is preferred. Job Summary: Part Time Maintenance Worker Saturday and Sunday 6:00AM - 4:00PM Perform a variety of custodial duties to maintain Yankee Candle Company’s physical facilities in an orderly and habitable condition both indoors and outdoors.
