The Accounts Receivable/Collections Clerk, will be responsible for maintaining deposits, reconciliations, pickup reports, as well as researching and posting a variety of commissionable funds, credits, tracking deposits, and maintaining internal file systems. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. S/He will perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
The Accounts Receivable Clerk performs routine accounting activities such as, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports and accounts receivable functions. S/He has knowledge of commonly-used accounting concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The Accounts Receivable Clerk works under immediate supervision and their primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment in performing the variety of tasks assigned.
