Digifabshop is a highly agile digital fabrication company specializing in custom architectural interiors. In addition to architectural woodwork, our expertise includes metal work, solid surfaces, stone, upholstery, and a variety of finishing technologies and services.
We seek a person experienced in Catia to join our team. The Digifabshop VDC Catia Specialist is responsible for supporting projects with competent, effective support by preparing ‘direct to fabrication’ 3D models and shop drawings using Catia for building-scale and amenity-scale architectural projects. The Digifabshop VDC Catia Specialist is passionate about creating designs that emphasize automation and help streamline our workflow. Parametric modeling, fitness testing, scoring, case scenarios, rationalization and optimization are a large part of this role. The fast-paced, collaborative nature of custom design and fabrication makes the ability to express ideas both verbally and through sketches paramount.
Duties will include:

Determines correct blank size from the engineering drawing.
Measures mylars accurately to determine dimensions for machining steps.
Interprets all part characteristics from the drawing and determine fabrication steps.
Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and references points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes.

This individual will work with clients of our Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) program in administering medications, medication management, and psychiatric assessments.
