Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely operate a tractor trailer and unload/deliver various products to an assigned route schedule. Using a positive, friendly attitude, our drivers build relationships with each customer and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

  • Yes, age is just a number but drivers must be 21+ years of age.

  • License to drive - requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver License with a "clean" driving record (no single DUI in the last 3 years and no multiple DUIs within the last 7 years).

Mileage Base Pay-- $1.36 Average (per all loaded and empty dispatched miles, including fuel surcharge)

Toll Allowance-- $.03 paid on all loaded miles

Fuel Surcharge-- Provided based on current D.O.E. National Average, we have the highest surcharge for van type operations in the industry. Example: at $2.35, it is $.20, and at $3.35, it is $.38. Besides being the highest surcharge, it is paid on all dispatched miles (loaded and empty)

Fuel Discount Program-- The average last year was $.29 per gallon off the pump price, which means several thousand dollars saved per year (actual range of $.05 - $.97)

Mileage Bonus Program-- $.03 per mile from 32,500 - 65,000 miles and $.04 on 65,000+ miles for the first year.Each year thereafter, an annual mileage bonus is paid on all miles over 65,000, increasing based on years of service and as follows: year 2-4 is $.10; year 5-9 is $.13; year 10-14 is $.16; and year 15 and beyond is $.19

Communicate with dispatch at various terminals and with dock employees to coordinate the movement of trailers and freight 5. Develop plan for distributing break loads to achieve cut time goals 6. Monitor service freight and ensure cut time compliance 7.

Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies 8. Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information and setting appointments 9. Monitor actual performance data and gather information for reporting 10.

Communicate with Account Manager(s) to ensure customers’ and company’s needs are met 11. Identify freight moving at incorrect weight and classification 12. Ensure all OS&D is identified and processed properly 13.

Conduct pre-shift meetings and provide education to employees as necessary 14. Perform administrative functions such as printing delivery receipts, manifest shipments on a trailer, billing freight bills, trace shipments, etc. 15. Implement company policy 16.
