Strong IV insertion skills

The Department of Veterans' Services is seeking a contract groundskeeper to assist with the every day maintenances. The Groundskeeper will perform a variety of grounds keeping and interment activities and will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of roads, walkways and fences, as well as landscape and maintenance of grave sites.
Specific duties include:
Plant and cultivate flowers, shrubs, and trees; mow and trim ground and grave areas; seed, sod and develop turf; beautify the grounds by planting, transplanting, cultivating and mulching shrubs and trees; follow grounds maintenance plan.
Mow and trim lawns, flowers, shrubs, trees and around headstones and markers.
Visually inspect grounds during the performance of other work activities and notify supervisors of grounds needing additional attention.
Maintain and operate chain saws, brush saws, and hedge shears to clear and prune grounds.
Maintain and operate utility vehicles and trucks to transport materials, goods, supplies and equipment.
Maintain and operate riding lawnmowers, string line trimmers, edgers, sod cutters, and post diggers to maintain turn and other grounds.
Maintain and operate snow removal equipment including truck, snow plows, tractors equipped with plows, or rotary brooms, snow blowers on flat and hilly terrain and around trees, flagpoles, culverts, roadways and walkways in a variety of weather conditions. Apply sand as needed to ensure safety.
Clear grave sites of debris, set up platforms and lay and remove plywood for burials.
Assist in digging and back filling of grave sites with shovels, rakes and tempers for burial and grave closure and openings in a variety of weather conditions to restore appropriate grading of grounds to original appearance.
Perform related duties such as emptying rubbish barrels, picking up trash, cleaning ditches, drains and catch basins on grounds or roadways; shoveling snow and raking leaves.
Assist in headstone alignment and/or raising.
Military experience preferred but not required.

REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS, including but not limited to the following:
Lifting objects and product up to a maximum of 50 lbs. with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects/product up to 35 lbs, in addition, the ability to lift heavy objects up to 100lbs with assistance from another associate.
Work performed could be while sitting, standing, or walking.
Work performed will entail fine manipulation of hands or fingers, bending, twisting, squatting, and climbing as well as upper and lower body mobility.
Experience/comfort level with electronics/technical products.
Independent and self-motivated.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, overnights and weekends.
High School diploma or equivalency certification required.
Valid driver's license is required as travel to additional locations may be necessary.
Automobile liability insurance is required to be maintained.

Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach
Job Description Under the supervision of the ConVal High School Principal and Athletic Director, the Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach will coordinate the ConVal High School Boys Lacrosse program. This individual will develop and maintain a high-quality program founded on sport specific training principles and a team first approach while creating a healthy competitive environment to participate in.
Additional objectives will be to instill the ethics of hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect and sportsmanship into the culture of the program. This person will also be expected to play a role in the development and maintenance of its feeder program, through communicating with and advising youth coaches, conducting and/or developing camps/clinics for all grade levels, and being active with booster organizations and fundraising. This is a stipend position.

Communicate all information regarding the ConVal Boys Lacrosse Program to the Athletic Director, Parents and Community ? Maintain discipline and work to build pride in all sports programs within the community ? Ensure all boys lacrosse coaches and assistant coaches work together toward a common goal within the boy's lacrosse program and provide unity within the youth community programs Minimum Qualifications ? Work Cooperatively with the administration, staff, parents and community ? Motivate students/athletes academically, athletically and personally ? Work cooperatively with and support all other coaches in serving the needs and interests of all students/athletes ? Select, design and teach basic skills ? Develop and run organized and competitive practices ? Communicate with the Athletic Trainer to ensure the safety and healthiness of students/athletes ? Communicate with the Media Desirable Skills ? Strong work ethic ? Strong leadership ? Ability to ask questions to better evaluate decisions ? Ability to provide constructive feedback to students/athletes Licenses and other requirements ? Red Cross First Aid Certificate, including CPR and concussion training is required Experience Required ? At least one year of successful Middle School, High School experience preferred ? Participation as a player at the high school or collegiate level preferred ? Experience in fundraising activities ? Experience in organizational skills
