What is the opportunity?
As a writer with RBC Wealth Management, you will be part of a team that leads the daily development and publication of content, based on RBC brand standards and informed by a deep understanding of our products, services and business channels. Minimum 2 years of writing experience with newspaper, online news service or trade publication, preferably including business coverage. Blogs or Instagram not relevant. Knowledge of the oil and gas industry a plus
Decisive problem solving in the face of tight deadlines
Ability to write and edit content in different editorial styles, from corporate reports to news and features to marketing copy
Skilled communicator and a strong, flexible team worker
Bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism, communications or English
Sound proofreading skills and a thorough eye for detail
Ability to write direct and concise sentences
Methodical, independent working style
Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to multitask
InCopy/InDesign experience a plus
Knowledge of AP Style preferred
